Haha, I filmed that race the other day. That's my brother's Z28 and a friend showed up with the AMG. While we knew the outcome would have the AMG losing, we were all surprised at how well it hung in there considering how the Camaro runs. Big torque plus the 7-speed in the Benz means it's ALWAYS gonna be in a good spot in its powerband. I fell in love with that car after seeing it in person. One of the best looking cars out there IMO.

This brings flashbacks.
Last year I was commuting home in my 95 Z28 (some mods have been done
), and I decided to school a dude who was cutting through traffic in his S2000. I raped him at a stop light, and when I pulled up to the next one, he pulled next to me, looking for a rematch (didn't learn from the 8-9 cars I pulled on him the first time), and what the S2000 driver doesn't see, but I do, is an S65 AMG cruise up in the lane next to him, with this huge smile on the dude's face as he pulls up.
I see what's coming - I prepared myself for my raping, but I wasn't about to give up without a little respect. What do ya know - the light turns green, and I catch a perfect launch while the Benz was caught sleeping. I get a car and a half on him, and I hold him off until we approach 80mph, when he rapidly began to turn the tables on me. But by then I had to break off and exit - best part was the Benz dude wasn't smiling anymore.
I had to look up the specs on that car online the moment I got home.
