Understood about the trim levels, point taken. I like a good debate, so I am bowing down now.

Better take it up with whoever the hell the dude is in that pic...when I first found it on Google I thought it was Bill Gates...I pulled a quick "wtf" moment and instantly recovered . You'll likely have to pry that bad boy out of his cold hands, but it'll be worth the effort when everyone sees you hauling that bad ass turbo down the road!

I said I wasn't going to post again, but I kinda had to respond to the ignorance. My bad you don't represent the mustang crowd though, so I rescind the mullet-mobile driving remark. You are just a troll that trolls a cobalt forum because you have nothing better to do than belittle people with 4 cylinder cars. You car is fast big whoop. Your dick is still just as small at the end of the day.
Why do I find that hard to believe. The only way you would have had a DOHC in a Saleen is if you had one of 18 Saleen Cobras made in 1997 which I highly doubt you had.

Why do you think dodge has to throw an SRT badge on something not to make it crap. They need their special divisions to build the car, and make it faster. Last time I checked if I got a TT Lingenfelter, its not considered a stock car, its a modified corvette with a warranty.
SVT, SS, SRT are all factory performance divisions. They are considered factory cars with a factory warranty. Shops like Ligenfelter, Hennessey, Roush, or Saleen are aftermarket companies that do their own work to cars and sell them with their own warranty. Hence the reason my GT500 says Shelby Mustang Cobra on the Titles and a Lingenfelter corvette says Corvette and a Roush Stage 3 says Mustang GT.

Read above, i already ended this argument, someone that wasn't you already made a valid point. And yes it was one of the 18 Cobras. I bought it for 19K, and it had 16K miles on it when I got it. If you read earlier you would see that I listed the SVT number that was posted on the plaque under the hood. It sucks that some dealer molested the crap out of it, and threw some badging on it that had no business there, but it was a nice car, and I liked it. I never got to drive it because I was deployed so much, so it got sold in 2005 to a guy in charleston SC. It had 19K miles on it when I sold it to him and was a garage queen. If you ask anyone in the Tampa bay Mustangs, they know my car, and if the same members are still around they remember me.

It was crystal white sportster/speedster package with black graphics, that was a cobra redone by saleen, and sent back to the dealer for a ridiculous price that I did not have to pay. (And remember I was the 2nd owner, i never modified the car from the way I got it from the previous owner, I did not have time for it, and it was fast enough.) anyways this is not about that, it is about blah blah...... Already conceded the argument to someone else who said something about trim levels, I not have a better understanding of what the hell y'all are talking about, and I understand your viewpoint. You win whatever we were arguing about.

I think the majority of people have a tough time reading through your ass ripping to really soak in the facts laying beneath it (but even you admit you have a tough time not being said "ass") . Personally if someone rips me a new one BUT provides me useful and accurrate/verifiable informatio nat the same time (which your posts do contain) I'm fine with it if I'm being a dummy. As with yourself, I'm irritated with some LNF owners constantly putting down the LSJs and thinking their car is the cat's ass with no knowledge to back it...makes it tough for the "normal" people to make a name for the car and its enthusiasts when a precedence has already been set.

The turth hurts the feeble minded. Im glad ur smarter than ur average LNF owner and see things for what they really are. Youre a realist like me and thats a good thing.

Im just a bigger ******* about it.

My only hope is that the uneducated LNF owners finally come to the same realization. Once this happens everyone will get along and I dont have to be an ******* anymore.

What the OP said IS plausible on a roll race... To a point

I had a Terminator come rolling up beside me on the highway one morning, revving, jumping etc.
So I said WTH and took off. I put a bus on him from the 60 roll and let off a bit. I stuck my head out the window to see what happened and the porr guy was smokin' his tires and couldn't gain any ground and looked severely pissed. I taunted him waving him to come on.

He got an even more pissed look on his face and smoked the tires again. I LOLed and rolled on down the road. About a minute later he came tearing by me and the wind from his car picked up the back end of mine. I cackled a bit as he turned into the tech college he was heading to.

HP is wonderful. Some folks just try to use too much all at once

So the OP's story IS plausible. But ONLY if the Cobra constantly smoked em off

Even the 99 and 01 Cobras are mid 13 second cars, and from a dig should beat the SS/TC stock vs stock. That is if the 99 had the recall fixed.

At one point or another we have all beat cars we shouldnt have, and lost to cars we should have...
I mean there's a porsche dealership here that gives buyers a free weekend driving course and track time. The first course I took I was put in with these guys. You need to take these courses to get your comp license up here. They were so scared out on the track I was passing some of them.... Does that make my car faster?

NO, they are 03-04 terminator Cobra's. You guys need to get out, seriously, I have tuned more 03-04 cobras than almost all of you, not to mention having had one and doing a mild build to 590-590. I dont give a **** what a magazine says they get out of a cobra, most of the time they also get cars that are ringers. Come on up here with your STOCK cobras to our dragstrips and show me one on street tires that pulls 112mph. BS. There are at least a half dozen ones up here that are stock or very close to and not a one runs those times. I will even do the honour of taping some this year just to blow your guys dreams up. Then you can all call BS on driver skills and planets out of alignment. How about the fact the record for the fastest Z06 stock is in the 10,s on factory rubber, you guys think that is doable by anyone and replicable at any track, welcome to the real world, join it.

This is like deja vu. I remember some other time when someone claimed to be a Cobra tuner/owner and claimed that Cobras ran similarly crappy times. Based on a quick search, I guess it wasn't you, though.

Anyway, do you live at high altitude or something? Otherwise, you're just plain wrong.

I don't think my buddy would be willing to drive his Cobra from here in FL up to America's hat, but he ran a 12.9@113 BONE STOCK. I was there. The car made 371whp on Roush's dynojet, too. Again, I was there.

Sure, he ran several low 13 passes and even some worse when he screwed up... and sure, a lot of his trap speeds weren't THAT high, but not one single clean run did he trap in the range you're claiming.

Again, feel free to stop by SVTPerformance.com and check out some of the times on there.

We're not saying EVERY stock '03-'04 Cobra runs those times and traps on every run, but that's what they're capable of with decent driving (my buddy didn't have any *great* 60's, even)... and the times and traps you claim are significantly below average. If you said low 13's at 108-110, I'd say that would be notably more reasonable, but throwing a 103mph in there? Please. My stock '01 GT trapped 100 in 80-90 degree heat and FL humidity... and ~230whp. You really think it's reasonable that a Cobra that makes 371whp is going to trap only a few mph higher with ~60% more power? I don't think so, and there's overwhelming evidence from numerous sources that says we're right... and it outweighs a handful of Cobras at your local track.

Sow what was in this 590 build? How did you tune all these cobras you've had so much experience with?

HAHA I think you full of **** that or Canadians completely suck ass at driving. Come to Indiana or Michigan and I'll show you what a stock cobra can do. As others have said no one is saying that’s what everyone will run but a decent driver can. You are throwing out times that a 99/01 Cobra or slightly modded GT can run.

For being a so called tuner of these cars I would think you would know what they car do. Also a 590/590 Cobra is just a KB/Whipple on low-medium boost not exactly what I would call a mild build. My buddy had his 03 Cobra with a ported Eaton making 550rwhp.
