SRT-8 CARS.. not trucks.. you follow.. but yes, i have been in one.. good kick, but not all that I expected the hype to be.. i felt as if the SRT-4 NEON was faster.. i'm saying NEON so it doesn't confuse with the CALIBER..

and I don't care if they run 7's.. they're still box on wheels cars with absolutely no class on the inside; all hard plastic for a whopping $60,000CDN.. yay for being quick, at least give me something nice to look at when i spend 99.9% of the time INSIDE the car.. and 425hp, that's it? out of a ******* 6.1L?!?!

come on man, even i know that's pathetic.. Ferrari makes 483hp out of a 4.3L.. just an example, that's all..

but its funny how everyone is calling bullshit.. anywho, its pathetic and i'm done with this rant..

 

hp per litre is ghey is 400+ hp who cares. ferrari's also cost like 100,000 more. maybe it was just a 300c its hard to see a srt8 going down.

So I guess the navigation and bad ass kicker sound system that includes an L7 solo is on the same level as a cobalt???

The Z06 Vette may be making 505hp with a 7 liter, but look at the pricing and what you actually get. Who cares about hp per liter..You're talking about a car that is less then 100K and keeping up with if not walking away from vehicles that are well over that price range. Hell, the new Z06 is basically super car status, and it's gettin another bump in power to the 600hp range soon enough.

As far as the Cobalt bashing goes, Ghoost..move on. How are you gonna bash the Cobalt on a freakin Cobalt website?? You have all of 4 posts and your bashin the Cobey already, sounds like you have a problem lurking on other car sites. Bang for your buck..COBALT ALL THE WAY!!! Not to mention, that the aftermarket for Dodge and Chrysler has never really been there. I may be biased because I am a die hard GM fan, but...Dodge sucks, and Chrysler has nothing to offer. I said the Vette makes 505hp out of a 7.0L because he said the Hemi makes 425 out of a 6.1 like it was unimpressive. BOTH are damn impressive to me. The Z06 and Corvettes in general are MY FAVORTITE CARS, period!

I am really curious where I bashed the Cobalt? All I have seen is SRT-8 bashing from Wleee and bigoted dodge/chrysler (they are the same (DCx)) bashing from you.

Would also love to see where I bashed anybody... especially Victory (the dude out there racing).

My apologies as far as the comparisons between the HP per Liter comment. But when you made this comment.. It sure sounded like you were a bit perturbed about the argument between the two. So..Maybe we shall both simmer down.

Enough with the terminator **** already, sorry but a C5 Z06 murders a 03-04 Cobra. Maybe if you find a 385HP 2000 Z06 it could be a drivers race in the 1/4 but the 405HP 2001+ Z06 will kill a Cobra.

 

Yea youd think so with more horsepower and less weight.

Terminators have dipped down to 12.4s BONE stock.
C5 Z06 have dipped into the 11s.

im not saying they have the best drivers in the world nor do they know everything but the whole point of me taking a magazine is the fact that magazines more than likely use the same driver same conditions same everything other than one guy thats 40 in oklahoma city running on his ghetto track running a 12.4 and the other one thats in new york city thats 19 runnning a 12.4 in his zo6 different track preps altitude driver should i go on ?? seriously at least the magazines make it as fair as possible

 

Not to turn the pot any more, but I've raced an SRT-8 Charger that was most likely stock from around a 50ish roll to close to 100mph. We were absolutely dead even, neither of us pulled at all.

I have Intense Stage 3 and a muffler swap w/resonater delete (i sound like ****) regardless, obviuosly with a full exhaust i would walk on him. Again, he was stock. All Srt-8's are automatic....so there was not really any room for his driver error, all I did was floor it and shift. Yes I think the SRT-8's are badass, yes i would own one, yes I was just as fast as one with my mods from a roll.

 

I think they are auto-manual(not sure) so they could start in to high of a gear but who knows.
