2.4 vs Probe

Well on the way home from the g/f tonight. I had just filled up with 93. As I am leaving I hear a car going by at a good 3/4 to full throttle. So I go find out what it was. It was a mod'ed probe. not to badly riced but not a full out race car either. So we past a few lights, mind you this is the main drag going through town (6 lanes). I give him a little bit of my air box mod, and he down shifts, we are around 60mph and he goes. I am in fourth and drop to third and give it about 3/4 throttle. and I start pulling I get all the way into it and pull to the end of third and have maybe 2-3 cars. We line up again roughly 50-55mph and he jumps. I smash third and nail fourth. I let off at around 110ish and i have a good 5-6 cars easy and was pulling. Then we finally catch a light but he pulls in the turn lane and gives the nod, and i give a smile and nod back.

What years where the turbo ones? Maybe like... early 90's? I've only seen the V6 ones or n/a four bangers. Come to think of it... I haven't seen a probe in a very long time.

Turbo 2.2 with 145 Crank HP.
They are good for high 15's stock so I wouldn't call them quick..

Ehh they run high 15's... IMO the 13 sec range is what I consider quick.I'm pretty sure it will take a little more than a boost controller to drop ~ 2 secons off.

they can hit pretty damn good numbers with just the MBC... they have fairly large t3 turbos stock and the engine can handle a beating

to me a quick ar is 12s or under... but just by leanin that thing out by boostin a couple pounds more.... and being able to hold the boost in one place that car will *** alive.. ( for a early 90s car lol) id give it high 13s wit CAI, MBC ,and TBE... toss in a set of slicks and a tuner of sum sort and low 13s/high 12s
