If you want an M5 I hope you get it even sooner than you'd hope because everyone deserves to have what they really want, but PLEASE don't lump all us "old farts" in the same group.
I'd apologize for the thread jack but this thread has LONG gone astray.
Carry on lol
Yeah that statement right there just shows that is not true. Someone that can "afford" a 100+k car or even a 200+k car is not going to buy a cobalt unless they have some weird fetish, then that would fall in the same catagory as those people who love to play with **** or like to slit their wrists and poke them selves with sharp objects. Anyways, anyone who boasts about what they can afford or how much money they have you can pretty much declare they don't/can't...

Case in point, when I was bouncing had a guy come in boasting about his wad of cash, $600 shoes, $1500 errings, and his $30k chain; what did home boy drive? There were no BMW's, Mercedes or Bentley's out front, it was a 4 year old lumina with 22's. Had that happen ALOT, and I get the feeling it is the same here....

So if you really decided on that Cobalt over the thousands of other better choices being your a car guy and can afford pretty much "any" car, then more power to ya, but I highly doubt that is the case!

Care to drop what your "income" is while your at it or what your other rides are besides your bike?

Tyler, you misunderstood me. I wasn't boasting about income. Maybe I put it wrong, I should say there are many vehicles out there that I can afford besides a Cobalt. I don't know why you thought I was implying that I was wealthy, but I wasn't. I was only saying that I didn't buy the SS'TC because it's cheap, I bought it because I really WANTED it. And the guy that really wants the BMW I hope he gets it too. I am certainly not wealthy. I didn't say anything about a 100+k or 200+k car? I manage a restaurant, which surely will never make me wealthy, but that's ok. I get by, and me, my wife, my two teenagers, and my dogs are happy with what we have, and having a fun SS/TC and a fun bike keeps the edge off. My wife has an HHR if that matters. The 40 vehicles I have had (in 33 years) is because I am a car nut myself, and I have played with cars ever since I bought my first one at 15 and fixed it up, not saying I have some fleet of vehicles at my disposal.
So sorry if you thought I was boasting about income, I wasn't. I was commenting on the fact that as an "old guy" who owns a Cobalt, it wasn't because it's the only car I could afford, it's because I really like the car. The guy had said he hoped by the time he was old he could afford a M5 and not have to have a Cobalt. And I don't concern myself with other peoples incomes either. I wish all the best!

Understandable, it just came off like that when I read it. No worries though!
