4G Eclipse GT vs Cobalt SS/SC
they make more whp stock than a S2 Cobalt...they aren't exactly light, but deal with it, a stock GT is faster than a stock SS/SC.
It is not some chicky car that everyone thinks it is too.
They are too big to be a chick's car...gone are those days where the eclipse is a straight chick car.
I really am surprised they haven't caught on a little more...they are a pretty decent platform to build on, and really are a quick car for the price
They also weigh roughly 500lbs more aswell ..so that would equal about ~45-50 more whp the Eclipse would need to run the same time as a SC..The SC comes with a little over 210hp and the Eclipse puts down about 247whp. Please explain your logic why the Eclipse is faster stock for stock.

Watched both race.
Watched stock ones run dyno runs on the same dyno on the same day.
The GT is faster stock for stock.
It's ok man, cobalt>world is def not true.

I wouldnt say all GT's make more whp...but most of them do though. I would say the GT and SS/SC are about the same. I wouldnt say they are definately faster....their fastest stock times are not any faster than some stock ss/sc's. I personally think they're a drivers race. I wouldnt say the 4g is completely a chicks car..but the 3g definatly was alittle more. Although they a decent platform to build...I think they're ugly...heavy....handling is mediocre...all equaling crappy sales and no aftermarket support.
And I am not saying the GT puts buses on a stock SS/SC, but it is faster.
oh I know...but the quickest stock gt is what 14.02 and the quickest ss/sc is what 14.06....so I guess you can say its quicker....but by a nose hair...lol....its all good though.
at the track...SS/SC...the GT has a all but useless first thanks to all the TQ they make down low.
I like the new Eclipses and loved my 2nd Gen GST but I believe the 4G and a SS is more of a drivers race stock. The reviews have the SS a tad faster though the 4g has more power it's extra weight cancels it out so to say. Though I have no he said/ I saw to back it up..Haha not like either cars are that great though :/
Drive one...more of a highway car than the SS/SC...but man there really isn't any part of the powerband that doesn't pull you back into the seat and hold you there...MIVEC has a sweet kick to it too.

IRS, smooth ride that loves trail braking.
If driven right they handle good...but they have a little bit of a learning curve...the interior is REALLY ******* nice and the stock system is ******* nice too.

And no it take more than "breather" mods. I was looking at a magazine that added stuff and dynoed afterwards and with a boost controller, intake exhaust and probably something I forgot it was able to make 308whp.None the less if I was to go out and buy a new car that would be it.
Well they only reason it was able to muster a 13.8 is by the launch go from a roll like you seem to like talking about and it's even slower...
