For one, you dont know me, and for two, I dont think trap speeds end all. The fastest stock 03/04 Cobra has gone 12.2 or 12.3 I believe, I dont think an LS2 GTO will ever do that on stock tires, suspension and stock everything. The LS2 GTO puts down what, 350-360whp at most, while the 03/04 Cobras were underrated and put down 370-375whp, and we all know the 03/04 Cobras weigh less than the GTO's do. I'm not trying to get into this discussion because it's been beat to death numerous times.

From what I've been told by numerous people, GTO's are hard as hell to launch, especially on the track. So you racing on the street vs. the track is a HUGE difference. I've seen quite a few 05+ GT's go mid 13's, and I've seen many go high 13's, but the average times from what I've seen are right around 13.6 or so, given a few tenths each way. I've seen a few go 12.8-12.9 with intake/tune only on stock tires. I know you say you pull stock GT's by 4+ cars, but I hope you're talking about the newer 05+ GT's, because an LS1 GTO should pull the older GT's no problem. Like I said already, I love GTO's, was gonna get an 05 with 6spd last Summer when I got my SS/TC, it had only 3,000 miles on it and was kept up with all the time by some old guy. But in the end I figured I already had a RWD v8, and now I wanted a turbo car to mess with.

Just because that is all you have seen doesnt mean that is what they all run. I could go right now and get a list of the fastest 05+ GT's if you want me to. But still that would never end how most people talk about Mustangs. Alot of Mustang years are years to forget about, but the 03/04 Mach 1, 03/04 Cobra, 05+ GT, GT500 and a few of the rare Stangs they made are great, fast cars, but since Ford makes their money off their v6's and their trucks, and all people see are v6's and non-modded GT's, makes all people think they're all slow. I know of a few guys who ran 13.2 stock in an 05+ GT, tons that have ran 13.4-13.5's, numerous in the 13.6-13.7 range. Hell C&D or MT just tested the 2010 GT at 13.5 in the 1/4 mile, and that is magazine racing, and we all know there are drivers out there that are way better than magazine drivers.

 

The 2010 Mustang is faster than the 05-09's.
