hey ladies. dont get ur panties in a bunch but im going to the gym. ill be back in 2 or 3 hours so dont worry. cant wait to floor my wrx on the way there and get traction lol. hopefully you all can get this up to 25 pages for me to read at least.

lol.

off topic (like there is one right now) cmiller, how helpful is the tmw short shifter? like for NLS and all. i just got mine with the base bushings. i cant install it till march cuz im in iraq right now. just wanting to know if you like it.

yuck, why would you put equal lenght headers on a wrx? it may give you some power but you lose the subary sound.

It made a differance for sure. Not as much as I would like do to the shitty shift cables tho. And I am just playin around for some fun on here lol.

Stick with stock shifter.

The GM Racing team put Hurst shifters in their Koni Cars, iirc... took them out and put stock back in after they started shredding transmissions.

If you won't take my word on it, you can ask Mr. Powell... he's the one that told me the story.

Never had a problem with mine. I also dont shift as much as those cars do, but I prolly slam the gear as hard or harder then they do. Do you know if they have any different linkage in those cars?

Not much. TWM is shorter, and possibly a little better made.

I LOVE my hurst, and have had no issues with it, but after driving a few cars with stock shifters, i wanna go back.

What they found out was that the shorter throw was simply shifting faster than the transmission could handle, iirc. Iono. I run a B&M shifter... and my shifts have become noticeably more rough over the last 2 years.

The metal bushings are win though.
