to be completely honest i dont like going over 20mph the speed limit. have i done it before? yup. do i do it on very familiar spots? rarely. here in virginia if you go over 20 mph the speed limit its reckless driving and over 2000 in fines and automatic suspended license. you go over 100mph and its intent to kill. automatic jail time. call me a fairy but i dont want to risk that. thats why i talk so much **** about going to the track.
If i have an intent to kill charge on my record kiss my chances at any grad school or good job goodbye. look it up. its virginia laws. call me a ***** fine.
dont get me wrong; i give my car gas on the street. 45 mph and ill zoom to 60mph. its fun; that awesome thrust back in your seat. anything more is not worth risking my license. it only takes 1 time as they say.

lol. j/k. i can drive. im lame and practice my drivning when im bored. i even got the 1-2 NLS down consistently before i left for iraq. i was also able to beat a stock ss/sc in my i/e in my slow civic si. i will need to practice when i get more power tho, as NLS 1-2 with a lot of power doesnt seem like a good idea. im not really going to try for 11's tho, this is my fun car. ill get 11's on the civic i plan to build.

Yea I just want to get 11's then click it back a notch and run alot of street tire days. Not as fun but a little better for the car.

not being a dick but there are a LOT more wrx's in the 12's and 11's compared to cobalts. how come?

 

wrx's are a lot more common. not that many people who buy a cobalt ss use it for a drag car. cobalts arent awd. if you average the trap speed tho, cobalts are faster than your wrx. period. you have more traction, that is it.

different cars are going to do different things, plain and simple. you're wrx has awd, cobalts do not. and quite simply i would absolutely HATE to line up next to any of zzp's cars or bryans car if they had awd...

cobalt owners don't understand what these cars can do with the right suspension. i think cmiller and stu are great examples of what the cars CAN do.

 

it's nothing fancy its just a stock one with the useless weight cut off and a better rollpin. If you haven't broke a rollpin you should be fine.

you said they are like supras....but they are not..in any way shape or form. They are just FWD cars with low end torque to spin the tires. It doesn't take much to overcome the FRONT tires in a FWD car...Overcoming the REAR tires in a RWD car....well that's different

meaning that it IS easy to do. but no one realizes to do it. its all about traction. like why 800hp supras run the same times as 400hp supra. why area traps 122 but only goes 12.6, and why cmiller is going low as **** 12s on the stock turbo. traction, traction, traction. its easy, but can be expensive which is why not everyone does it.
