Which would win in a 40 roll...my friend has an ls but is afraid of losing to the lancer...the lancer has nothing done to it and neither does the ls...just seeing your opinion

My friend has a 2.4 lancer and I cant keep up...

 

i thought that some of the lancers have a different engine than the 2.4.....im pretty sure i saw under the hood of one that had a 2.2? correct if im worng!

 

last time out at the track my buddy in his cat-back only 99 Tahoe beat one. the Tahoe ran a 16.8 and the Lancer hit a 17.2 or so. This was in phoenix when the DA was near 2000 thou.

im not sure what the stock LS's run, but i would think they would be pretty even if both cars were Stick, or vice versa.

And i think that lancer was auto at the track with the paddle shifters.

 

mmm i dunno i drive and LS tho almost fully bolted....just gotta tune and get the damn 2.4 mani im feel pretty confident in taking a lancer hahah....

 

lancers are garbage stock.... you should be able to pull in front of it, not by a lot but at least half a car in length... or at least mine did, mine is the lt though....all stock

at a 40 roll you should be able to take it home.... I know my car has poor accel from start but a 40 or higher roll it flys by... kind of lol

 

im gonna try this next time i see one. just gotta make sure its not ralliart. with 17.5psi they would wipe the floor with us.

the lancer with the 4b11 engine will pretty much destroy any 2.2 on this site. Wouldn't even be close. Anything other than the lowest engine will walk a 2.2. The new lancers have 3 engine's available.

 

im not really familiar with mutsi or anything, but i was hearing from an evo guy at my work that the new Rallyart's are turbo'd and are made to match / compete with the WRX, where as the evo's up against the STI.

the ralliart is a 2.0 4B11T making 237 horse and 253 torque

whereas the WRX is a 2.5 Turbo making 265 horse and 244 torque.

those cars are nothing to be laughing at. both are very fast vehicles.

 

The new raliart has a de-tuned evo engine.

 

The one I tackled was a base model 04.... garbage lol!!

 

good call guys, i was almost positive it was just couldnt remember for 100% sure.

but how in the world does the smaller engine make more torque? and the WRX has a boxer motor IIRC. . . odd. . .
