My roomate has one of the new Mustang GT's and we pulled up to a stop light and Reved the engine, he has always wondered who would win in a race so we went for it, light turns green and we both loose a little traction then we step on it, we were both neck and neck the entire race up to 110 i was about a half a car length ahead when he let off, it was pretty insane but considering his car is stock other then full magnaflow and intake i was still quite happy! Any one else go up against a gt?

im assuming a 2006 or newer bc he said one of the new ones. and a stage 2 would easily beat the older 260hp v8's

the new gt's only have like 300 hp

 

they are quick though.....

yea i have a T/C and my buddy has an 07 GT and he walked on me from a dig and roll by atleast a car length... they are FAST.. but that goes to show ure modded stage 2 to a stock car... the modded has a better chance

A stock 2008-2009 SS\TC vs. a stock 5 speed 2008 Must GT: A drivers race period, to close to call.

 

With his mods its easy to see him beating him.

 

It was definitely a drivers race, i could tell he was shifting a little early which allowed me to pull on him, but it was pretty much a stalemate. His car is a manual if you couldn't guess lol.

 

Just be careful of S197 fans beacuse they don't want anyone calling there car a high 13 second runner. I must be truthful though usually a 2005+ GT can pull a car or so with a good launch from a dig vs a SS/SC Stage 2. It wasn't until 80mph plus when I could gain back that car and finish the 1/4 closely in my Stage 2 vs S197's.
