Well this discussion is about stock/near stock cars or at least street cars. Saying a 99-01 Cobra isn't fast because you think modded to hell 9sec car is fast is a stupid comment to make. No **** its fast but so what, thats like saying a 9sec car isn't fast because I think top fuel cars running in the 4s is fast. Who cares about drag cars that you will most likely NEVER run into on the street?

A 12sec car is nothing really to laugh at and it will beat most cars you see on the street on a daily basis. For one thing there is a hell of alot more people that DON'T mod there car than people that do. So how many cars really run 12s stock when you think about it, C6 Corvettes, 03/04 Cobras, GT500s, Lambos, Ferraris, Vipers. Now think how often you see them just driving on a normal day. I don't know about you but I hardly ever seen them around here on a normal day. Now if you go to a local hangout ro cruise at a ht spot on the weekend where all the big cars hang it might not be able to beat most of them but thats a rare occasion.

What are you smoking? The 01 Cobras stock ran as fast as mid 13's stock, mostly around 13.8-13.9 with an average driver.

 

I've come to the opinion that mdub thinks his car is the **** and is really a stuck up ****. He is just someone who has to use this site to feel good about himself

I sures hell wouldn't bet money on that statement a 03-04 Mach1 will be quicker in the 1/4 than a 2001 Cobra and look what they run.

And don't say high 12's.

Mach 1s still have the cobra motor (with a few changes, not many) and the best stock time I saw was a 12.9 when they had a professional driver behind the wheel. They and the N/A DOHC Cobras are very easily 13 second cars.

The Mach1 uses different cams, tune and has 3.55 gears vs the Cobras 3.27's

And high 12's for those is 10 times rarer than high 12's in a LS1 F-Body.
