what is all done to the 4.6 car? Being a GT they really arent that fast, with basic exhaust mods and gears, your looking at a 8.70 roughly in the 1/8 mile my cobra is in the high 7's right now with exhaust pulley change and a cold air kit. MY 5.0 cobra is running around the same, with a built motor. What is your car running?
hopefully fast enough to beat his dad.... id hate to get beat by my dad....
(but i will as soon as he pics up his new camaro ss and drops the extra 20 cash into it to make it run 10s.... thats an all drag racer for ya)

... And GM is sucking up BILLIONS in public funds just to stay alive.
GM Rules!
I'll add to the fun since I have a '93.
- Hey, it started right up and runs great just like it always does!
- Let's check the mileage... wow! 216,000 miles.
- I wonder if I'll EVER have to rebuild the ORIGINAL engine/trans/etc?
GM Rules!
Mustang..leaking antifreeze...would not start..getting towed..etc..god that brings back memories. I have to admit, when they did run they were a blast
Here are a couple others for those 87- 93 mustang owners.
- click click click...another "guess what?" bites the dust
- WTF.. I smell pancake syrup?!
- Holy hell?! My headlights are going disco on me. OMG!! did I just hit John Travolta?!?
- Ford repairs your rear main seal. Warranty untill you leave the lot.
Feel free to chime in. Again not bashing the car, just having some fun.

All car companies are currently screwed and using public funds to survive. I am 100% GM all the way but when they pulled the plug on the F-Body in 2002 they lost alot of respect from me. There marketing is a joke, the UAW is screwing them with no lube and there designers are more worried about a fat asses cup holder than a truely well designed car.
As for brand mattering when it comes to longevity of vehicle performance and reliability thats bunk. If people would quit treating **** like it's disposable reliability would go way up. But then again when you look at society as a whole it's not hard to see why everything goes to crap. When I was in high school back in 1997 it was easy to find 10 year old F-Bodies and other cars in awesome condition. Now days if you have a 1998 Camaro in nice condition it's a miracle.
this may sound like BS to everyone...but no lie
i beat a 99-04 body style mach 1 from a roll at 60
and he got a jump
im a 2.2
cat back, intake, 75 shot.
he was pretty impressed, gave me the thumbs up. I still can't believe i won. He was also trying..the rear end dipped down like mad, then his look when i was passing him, priceless
but, eh race him and find out..or go to a near by town. Im sure yo ucan find mustangs to race.

I guess I took most of our disagreements a bit to far but obviously we are both guys how respect what we drive and are few of the true cars guys left these days. The way some people treat things they own be it a car, house or anything else is pathetic.
When I think about buying a car, I *plan* to keep it forever. If it's not a car I think I'll like for 10 years+, then I'm not interested in it.
Some people buy cars like they're appliances... Not me.
I've never had mine in the snow. Well I got caught at school with my GT a few years ago when I just had bolt-ons. It started snowing so I actually left school "sick" so I could get it home. There was only a few inches on the ground and I almost didn't make it out of the school parking lot. LOL
There are a few people around here that drive them all year round. A set of blizzaks on the back and I guess they do pretty decent. I also have a buddy that drives his GT500 year round and he lives in Chicago.

I drove my car for 2 years in michigan winters with the blower and all on all seasons (i ran on mt streets in the summer sneaky sneaky) never had an accident or any major problems. People forget a key point about snow driving with rwd cars
FWD = more weight over drive wheels, better traction from a stop and slow movements etc. UNDERSTEER IF YOU LOSE TRACTION
RWD= less traction from a stop, braking is just as good in a comparable car, OVERSTEER.
For anyone that has experience on tarmac, gravel, ice, whatever oversteer > understeer as far as getting out of it. I personally prefer a rwd car with 200 lbs of sand in the trunk over a fwd car any day of the week.

It's really all about planning around the storms and learning the limits of your car. I see more awd suv's and **** in the ditches than anything because they get over confident.
Yep thats the number one problem with people in 4x4 or awd vehicles. They think just because they have that they can drive 90mph in snow/ice covered roads. I have a 4x4 Explorer and it does good in the snow but I slow way down when the roads are bad.
The outcome: Went to a road that has no inlets or turn offs just 1.5 miles of straight road.... My dad driving the 2003 mustang gt (MODS: K&N cold air intake, Cat back exhaust, and chip) Me in my car 2008 Cobalt SS/TC, (MODS: Hahn CAI, Muffler delete, dejon bov spring upgrade) From a dig..... him "on 3" 1....2...3... We both take off he jumps me by about 3/4 of a car, we both chirp second i start pulling, by third gear i started getting ahead, by the end of the race i was ahead 4-5 cars, The top end on The SS/TC is amazing, my dad was in shock, and made me run him a second time with the same outcome.
