I'm coming home last night on the freeway, when a G35 quickly comes up from behind me. He slowed down when he was next to me, and was hinting at a race (this is the coupe version, BTW). He had the 6-speed manual. We start off at 80mph, and I drop it to 3rd. He drops it too, and we're off. I pulled on him slow but steady all the the way to 135mph. Then, all of a sudden, he passes me like nothing! Hmmmmmm. So, we slowed back down to 75mph. We cruise next to each other for a while, when he gives me three honks. We drop it again, and I pulled again on him up to 120mph; this time, he couldn;t pass me. So we go a third time. Same result. he never could catch me again.
So, do you guys think he has some giggle gas? I'm thinking mayeb he had a little bit left and used on me. then maybe he realized he couldn't beat me without it

 

why is it when I race people why is it they never honk the horn or anything. Oh well lol.. good kill I think he "PROBABLY" had a little laughing gas

i got a question

why is it that so many of the rolling races that are talked about on this forum go like this

"he honked 3 times then i downshifted to (some gear) and took off"

do any of you guys realize that you can downshift before that in preparation? i know when i go from a roll i keep my RPM's at about 4krpm and dont have to waste time on a downshift

back on topic, if the g35 some how flew past you out of nowhere at that high of speed, it had to have nitrous

 

Yeah I usually downshift before the race starts so I don't have to worry about messing up the downshift.

 

It's how TFATF do it and its cool.
