Riding in a 2.2 - 2.4 Civic feels ALOT more ballsy than a 2.2 Prelude or TSX, all across the powerband.

does your friend have an ep3 hatch or did he do a k20 swap into a hatch. the ep3s are the newer hatches that come with k20s stock. they are pretty slow because the k20's in them are shitty and they have a 5 speed tranny that sucks. if he has done a k20a2 swap into an older hatch then it will probably beat you

And there is no way an s2k can handle 600 whp SAFELY on all stock internals. Forged components are a ncessity. If it isnt forged, its garbage.

 

Just because engine swaps are tons more beneficial over the stock engine doesn't mean they suck. That's why Hondas are so easy to work with. Interchangeability. You don't need an engine rebuild to do that actually. One of my old Civics had a USDM LS engine from a wrecked Integra with over 100k on it. Compression was good, no scarring in the head or block. I made 318whp on the stock engine with a GT28 on 12lbs, injectors, fuel pump, FP reg, and Hondata. Not a single problem. People who generalize could qualify for top notch suckage however.
