How bad could i beat one of these?
he has 2 brothers, and my father is telling me the kid talking smack, his father used to be the same way, they bought a ram srt-10, jeep srt-8, corvette, the cooper, and others, the father sold his buisness for a couple million, and wasted all of it, now sold their house live in a condo, and have the cooper, jeep liberty, and thats it, they lost everything and like to live like big shots, haha, ****!!
just for ***** and giggles, imagine if this thread was on something like the MS3 forums, and they were talking about say....a 2.4 SS the way you guys are talking about the cooper.
think it would get you guys all riled up?
there are some pretty pathetic attitudes in this thread IMO.

WOW. OK. The Eaton series superchargers (m45, m62, m90) are built based on motor size, NOT m62 automatically > m45. IIRC the m62 came into play later to create and effective blower size between the 45 and the 90. It's not inferior it's just smaller to be used more efficiently by the 1.6 motor. It's just like us switching to an m90, doesn't work because it's not the best suited for our motor size - an m62 wouldn't work on an MCS because the motor is to small to efficiently spin the blower.
the other side is again, that the M62 isn't a bad blower... think on this for a second... why assume that something is bad just because it isn't what YOU want. eaton superchargers are reliable, quiet, long lasting and provide fair boost. it just bitches at being spun at 3 times it's normal rate.... try spinning your engine at 12,000 RPM and see how it likes it.
Cat is dead-on here.
just did my homework. m62 did not replace the m45. m62 has been around for the better part of 15 years in earlier gm 3.8 s/c applications before they switched to the m90.
eatons are not quiet. have you heard our cars?
i must have read incorrect info on the mcs weight.
even still, they are slow as hell. ive seen slips from one with a fully built top end, upgraded s/c, and all the bolt-ons only turned a high 13 second quarter.
plus ive driven the mcs. it feels like a box of rocks.
*summary* an 00-06 MCS is going to NEED an intake/exhaust/pulley/tune to beat a stock ss/sc. no chance against a decently modded ss.

Ding ding ding. My best friend and I are within 5 lbs of each other in weight, filled the cars to F on gas, weighed our cars on the same scale, same night, with nothing removed from either car.
SS came in at 2990
MCS came in at 2562
Total weight difference w/drivers = 428lbs
