hehe. This is why Im more into FI 4 cylinders. Think about it:

Lighter weight
Better milage
More power/liter
Sounds cooler ( WRX's sound amazing )
Easier to mod
Cheaper to buy
Better in corners

These are just a few, but from a racing perspective, the lighter the car the better. Thus the Aerial Atom...

actually, they did a study on this. Neither of our cars are attractive to them. Most women prefer environmentally friendly cars over V8's and and performance car, and are more interested in talking about those types of cars.

Unless of course ur talking about redneck chics...

WRONG again! Actualy women look at what you drive and can equate that with your bank account and then that into weather or not you can take care of them. All women are to one extent or another GOLD DIGGERS! Its not their fault tho its preprogramed into them in the womb.

In case you haven't noticed the boy looking things some people call girls these days are much to concerned with cell phones and text messaging to worry about cars.

WRX is the biggest piece of fail to go fast in....WAY too much money to go fast. I'd get an Evo IX before I got a Slowbaru anyday.

And one MAJOR thing you left out...is most FI 4 cylinder cars are FWD....big fail there

true on the FWD. Ive seen some built STI's running 400-500 awhp. Either way u slice it, thats a fast/sick car.

EVO is cheaper, but I like the subi's better.

Yea I've seen 400-500 whp STI's too....they get pulled on by 600cc bikes...I'd sell my car after dumping that much cash and making 5 and change to lose to a 600.

Here's the fail I'm talking about

Hit's the dyno and makes about 500 whp: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIRn0...e=channel_page

Goes to the track and can't trap beyond 120 mph: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIx2B...e=channel_page

I'd sell my ******* car, built motor, built head, meth and cams....and that's my end result?? I'd ebay that car so fast. Those cars ALWAYS have **** for a powerband, regardless of the PEAK WHP number (gearing is wayyyy too horrible for drag racing)

PT loss? Theres got to be a way around that though? What about a large turbo for top end?

That guy was on a 35R with a built motor and built heads...I'd say he's setup for top end. It's the gearing, it just sucks. He laid down 500 whp (to the ground, so drive train loss is irrelevant, because 500 of it made it to the rollers, and all he could muster with it is a 120 mph pass)

dude i bought an 02 wrx for 16k back in highschool.... i dropped 5 k into her and i ran a 12.3 @117 on street tires full interior ac and all the other amazing goodies...

so in total i spent 21k for a very nice WRX that i could drive all the time carry 5 ppl run a 12.6 @110 on pump gas and worst of all the 12.3 @117 wasnt with the meth on.. i could have had 11s for sure... plus i spent 2 grand on an ecu....

I fail to see how 5k and 117 on race fuel is anything to call a good bang for the buck

I dropped less than 3k into my car...and do 118 on LOW BOOST 93 PUMP

Was doing 110 on the stock turbo...also pump gas

And I look at their T&A and think the same thing.

I put $430 into my mustang and trapped 116mph and that was letting out the gas a little bit to keep it straight on stock tires.

Since Then I added DR's, and have 4.10s sitting in the box, to what now.......I'm hoping 120+mph range.

Gears were $150 install will be $240 once my car is out of the body shop, so that's another supposed 0.3 secs off the 1/4 mile.

ANY V8 with gears and Nitrous will beat on nearly anything at the track.

Hell, my cousin has been winning the NMRA stock class with his 1998 GT that has no nitrous, stock displacement, no turbo, and no supercharger running 11.3 @116mph, and his car still weighs over 3,000lbs...................if you think I'm full of it go check out the articles in 5.0L Mustangs and Fast Fords and other various magazines he's been getting tons of coverage in.

yea I think most WRX owners are just used to bending over for vendors for subpar results though. I'm not saying my car is the ultimate bang for the buck...but the WRX is like the worst

2k is still apart of your grand total...

you spent 5k to trap 117 mph....on race fuel.

That's not good, no matter how you slice it...You on pump gas were a 110 mph car....after 5k. A bolt on Cobalt would make you sweat, a bolt on SRT would beat you. After 5k into my car NO economy 4 banger should be at my door with bolt ons
