And I look at their T&A and think the same thing. 
I put $430 into my mustang and trapped 116mph and that was letting out the gas a little bit to keep it straight on stock tires.
Since Then I added DR's, and have 4.10s sitting in the box, to what now.......I'm hoping 120+mph range.
Gears were $150 install will be $240 once my car is out of the body shop, so that's another supposed 0.3 secs off the 1/4 mile.
ANY V8 with gears and Nitrous will beat on nearly anything at the track.
Hell, my cousin has been winning the NMRA stock class with his 1998 GT that has no nitrous, stock displacement, no turbo, and no supercharger running 11.3 @116mph, and his car still weighs over 3,000lbs...................if you think I'm full of it go check out the articles in 5.0L Mustangs and Fast Fords and other various magazines he's been getting tons of coverage in.

they have a lot of 11 second stock turbo Neons as well...I didn't bother pulling those up

yea I got a couple of friends with these cars....the coin invested for the results are pathetic....Then you see the bolt on Evo 9 doing high 10's north of 125 mph with the stock turbo. And it's like why does Subaru exist???
well, I had wanted to get a subi as a motor X car, but if the EVO is that much better, might as well get that.
I do know there is a build book for the 01 4.6l cobra motor to make 400+ whp NA.
c u guys are lucky u guys can slap slicks on ur car stg 2 and be fast ina straight line....
yea and ur right our parts were pretty pricey then.... and we didnt have factor stg kits would have been really nice....
plus our factory turbo was ****.... and we need a big fmic to make any good power...
but u have to admit for 21k u could have a 4 door 5 seater car that could run low 12s (could have dun 11s) on STREET TIRES and made many vettes and gto's cry.... for 5 grand in parts i wasnt to upset...
on streets i beat a few agp stg4 srt4s.. u guys are quick and can be done for cheap.... but thats y i have a 240 now that on slicks wit the stock rb swap in it will run low 12s.....

What's even sadder is that he drives it as his streetcar. People never see it coming! Look at the passenger seat in the pic, race cars don't have those. He went to the NMRA races and took home 1st place on his first time out. Nooone even knew who he was.

I couldn't tell you how much HP he has, but I can tell you that it's not as much as you think. He's still has 2V heads on the car too. So this is not a 4V Cobra block.

yea ummm a stock rb26 in my 240 will net me 12.4 or below with nothing at all.. but mine has full 4 in tbe intakes a huge fmic and power fc.. after tunin i want mid high 400s then its time to do my gt35r and make high 500s.... but its not about a quarter to me anymore.... i want to run low 11s and be able to run around summit point hella fast then drive home... and so far its coming along nicely....
plus man non of the boys here in mason dixon have gotten into 11.60s in the agp srts thats really impressive...

It's all in the setup. If you told most people your 1998 GT ran 11.3@116mph they would laugh at you and call you a liar. Well he's got 3-4 National magazines that covered him that would prove otherwise.

i mean heck i ran the "fast" one here from a 25 roll in my WRX i was sprayin the meth then and he only pulled past me after 110 then he put 1.5 cars on me... the meth helped alot lol....

that was joey a stage one with exhaust dumped and intake it was probably a 60 to a 120 roll on the freeway but i would jump him by a car but when i shifted he made up the car then it was even the reast of the way traffic came up so we let off. his tune helped him out alot because we raced when he wasnt on the freeway and i put like 2 buses on him his car is sexy now

no he was on my side and she only records when people are on her sided ill video tape this weekend and we will see its funny how he is making a big deal about it it was dead even he passed me when i let off because their was a car in my lane. did he tell you what happend the first race when no one was in front of me? i had him by half a car but that was on the feader i think he has more top end(i want to see though) but i think my car is quicker than his i guess because he has a bigger turbo and it takes longer for his to spool
