I had a 05 Mazda 3 2.3L manual, not knocking the cobalt but for some reason I have a hard time believing you had a 2-3 lead on these, stock they have 160hp and 150tq, unless it was an auto, simply because I have pulled nasty on a civic coupe with an b16 ls swap from a dig and yes I did know the guy so it was an all out run. After I had completed catback, header, intake, i was running with my friends modded nissian sentra spec r's. Either way good kill.

ok must of missed that part yeah the autos suck for that car, the manual has a nasty 3rd gear.

 

yeah it was auto..dont get me wrong is a nice car. i was gonna get it when i was lookin for cars. i drove the auto and didnt like it at all..too slow, it even had that sport thronic thing..and that didnt do much. then chevy came out with the cobalt. yeah my buddy has a mazda 3 in stick and has some stuff done to it and i cant keep up w/ it cuz im pretty much stock..for now

 

my sister has a mazda 3 in auto too... pretty slow until you get up to a good speed.

 

i agree the mazda autos are slow i test drove but then i tested the manual and it was like a different car. I would like to see a modded 2.2 manual go against a mazda 3 2.3 stock form and would like to see stock verse stock 2.4 coby vs 2.3 3

 

a 2.4 might win.

yeah its gonna have a really good top end..and prolly get a decent head start cuz of the high torque

 

YEA i did all the neons my self.. well they are led's alot easier to hide, the head unit is a year or so old it's the alpine dvA 300 touch screen...it's nice i have the sifwear to upgrade it and change the equalizer.. as for the 50 yea it's on but now it's off lol.. i had it plummed up to my factory air box and now i just installed the injen Intake so i need to get a new bit to tap the fogger into the intake, also i am hooking up a new purge w/ the led pure lite if you know anyone who wants NEW in the box green Zex purge leds lemme know i dont need them now..Yea i will deff try to meet up at DPA if i can get out early enough if not what time you guys meet up at bald hill??

you put the radio in im guessin...you bypassed the alpine? bald hill we get there around 600. all the cars get there early and stay to about 10. after that we went go kartin last nite. u still have the stock exhaust? im thinkin bout puttin the 2.0 exhaust/header on mine to see if anything will happen. any thoughts?

 

yea i have the bypass.. not the toggle switch i got i=t from an installer at ave. sound off sunrise hwy.. yea stock exhaust right now, i saw the vibrant down at C-A and it looks nice ...but i am still leaning twords the DC sport, i just dont want anything too farty. i would have it on now but i am also trying to save up for my wedding..so if it wasnt for that i would have most of my wish list done lol..

sick man. all u guys have to getout to dpa. i heard the dc sports on a 2.0 SS/SC and it sounded horrible...sounded like yeah a honda.

hes just saying that hes impressed with the 2.2 beating anothter car that has a higher hp rating with ac on.
