The new Cobalt SS is awesome! I lost to one yesterday on the street. I have a 2003 Mustang Mach 1 (completely stock). The new Cobalt SS turbo destroyed me. I was very impressed by the new Cobalt SS.

I found this on road and track magazines website under the review section, thought everyone might get a kick out of it.

That's pretty cool. Maybe a "True" car enthusiast and not just biased to whatever he happens to drive.

 

I use to think the Mach 1 mustangs were the **** sad i know!

 

Stock vs stock a Mach 1 Mustang would beat a Cobalt SS/TC in the 1/4 mile. From a roll I think it's been proven it's a very close race. 03/04 Mach 1's run mid to low 13's stock and are nothing to take lightly.

 

I can't help but think that is a cobalt owner in disguise, but you never know It could happen with a bolt on cobalt or just a bad driver in the mustang vs a stock cobalt. I'd bet it was a bolt on/tune lnf and it surprised the hell out of that guy.

 

I agree that the T/C was prob. tuned, I've raced a mach1 and I won but definitely didn't destroy him.

 

You werent tuned at all when you beat a Mach 1?

 

No, just intake, we ran from about 35mph to about 95mph with me a car and a half ahead and he actually went WOT with me still like a car behind him so, two and half car lengths. The only mod I know of that he had was exhaust and different wheels. Afterwards I tried to race him two more times to make sure and both times he just looked at me with a strange look on his face but wouldn't run me again.

 

I think I remember you posting about running a Mach from a roll. I can definately see you pulling one from a roll. These cars are deadly as hell from a roll.

 

For sure, it will be even more deadly very soon lol. I've been emailing Vince from trifecta and Beth from CIA and I'm ordering the trifecta tune on July 1. I debated awhile between superchips and trifecta but for the money vs. power its a no brainer. Superchips definitely has good customer service but Vince is very quick to respond and helpful in every manner so I can't wait for the July 1 to roll around!
