well on my way home from the home depot, getting some soil and pots (really manly i know) i stopped at the red and pulled up next to an 06-07 impala LT, i look over to check out the car, as i love all gm cars..

the light turns green i drive as normal..slightly spirited i guess as my favorite on ramp is coming, its a 2 lane, up hill 90 degree bend into a 3 lane hwy..anyways..i start to pull away from him a bit and out of nowhere i faintly hear a *rwoooorrraa*.

I look in my passenger mirror and here comes that damn impala...so i bite, dropped er into 2nd at about 40 ...he pulled up to the front of my door...i keep on it, hit third..put him at the back of my door and theres were he stayed tell i shut down at 90mph...and then comes the 40+ yo man in his impala giving my the ricer flyby, compleat with the middle finger and cut off lol

 

haha it wouldnt be complete without the middle finger

the impalas are pretty heavy, but the ss is pretty fast

 

also had a good kill last night, v/s an early 80's cutless, had some fat tires and a mean exhaust, it wasa v8 for sure...from a 0-60 i pulled a fender on him

 

I raced my buddy last night in his 2.3 Focus hatch wiht I/E. We went fom a 40 roll to 60. I pulled a fender on him and sat there.

have u guys seen the times on the 06+ impala and monte SS 1/4 mile times?

there stock like 13.8

 

I can't find ANYTHING on the LT Impala 1/4 mile times. I've looked
I'm still surprised that you took one in your 2.2l though, I would've thought he would have an advantage.

The base line impalas come with a 3.5l v6 with 211HP and 214 ft lbs of torque.
The LTZs and SS impalas only go up from there.
But they're mated with the same 4 spd auto that's in the cobalt and he's weighing in at 3700lbs. I imagine that's what gave you the edge

 

Got em from our local light vendor, Automotive Lighting USA.
They arnt any brighter than the stock ones but they look soo good with my new fog lights.
