So, down in Zanzibar, looking for some fresh fruit to make a blended smoothie. I was driving back to the plane when I found a cobalt sitting in a parking lot. It looked like a 4 door SS, so I thought, cool! I'll talk to him, and it'll be awesome!

I roll up, and he tells me how he's SC, and it's an LT, and challenges me to a race. kinda talking **** about how his engine's bigger, and he had a professional build it.

This is how it went down.

First race, I lay on it hard. Good launch, good shift into second...Crud. Where'd this guy go? Oh. He's about 7 cars back.

Second race. I give him the hit and launch soft. After first gear I'm out front again, and end of second, he's disappearing again.

Ok. time for some investigation.

I ask him to pop, he won't pop. I ask him how much boost he's pushing...no clue, Ask him what SC he has...iono....I ask him who did the work, his neighbor. The car is not even tuned. stock injectors....And it's an Auto...

What a crappy race. Big let-down. I've met someone else who may be promising tho...

Nope. Never heard it. I was thinking I hadn't heard it while we were driving through the quiet Zanzibar town, but it didn't really raise a red flag until I started the first race.

 

Maybe it was that thing you stick in the intake from ebay lol.

 

lol he lied to you about his car being sc'd wat a ******* who lies then challenges a tc to a race he should have just said hey man im an auto lt and just wanted to see how my car would fare up against urs, obvs he didnt have **** done if u didnt hear a whine and if he wouldnt pop the hood, damm liar i have a 2.4 and i have no prob telling other guys what i have, id love to have an sc or tc, but i cnt afford it, some people are so dumb to lie like that just like be proud of what you got lol

 

why would people lie... it doesnt make ur car faster! When I race people I tell em what I have if they are jerks I just say supercharged and leave it at that. But thats funny he was talking smack to a TC balt.

 

Brings back memories of the Top Gear episode where the guys but the second hand porsches... richard hammond puts the "turbo" badge on his car... lol.

 

He probably wanted to see what your car would do and figured you wouldn't bother if his was "just" a 2.2
