so a kid that i new from back in the dad wants to runs me for 100 bucks. he has an 93 mr2 with a jdm 3stge motor wit 3 inch cat back and removed the airbox and put an air filter on lol. u guys think a can make some cash tonight ? i am pretty much fully bolted and a 75 shot
I dont know man that may be a tough one those things weigh 2600 pounds and he will probly dyno in the 230-240whp range with his mods. The cobalts a little heavier so unless your making 260whp I wouldnt risk the cash better off just racing for fun. especially if your going from a roll where you spin. Get video.
unless hes spraying or turbo, you'll win
if hes boosted, you'll lose even with a 90shot
your car would barely push 240whp with a 90shot - i dont know of any boosted 'built' cars under 250whp

If you really want you can make $50 bucks here is what you CAN do i'm not sure if it will work but what I would do is:
1st go spend $5 on either 100-110-or 120 shot jets depending on how crazy you want to get that should get you the hp you need.
2nd run your car down til the gas light turns on and goto the VP race gas on prospect i think they close at 5 or 6 and spend $45 on 3 gallons of C16 the extra octane will keep the motor happy in case the afrs mess up and the lead will act as a cushioning agent making the extra spray less stressful on the internal engine components. 3 gallons SHOULDN'T mess up your 02s. You can use 4 gallons of 103 unleaded to a lesser effect in case your worried about the 02s.
3rd you got to get some weight off the car the ls curb weight is like 2750 or something like that the MR2 is 2600 but that is from the factory the turbo motor is like 50 pounds heavier. So do whatver you can to get some weight out of the car to a point don't do anything permanent you can take out hte backseats and passenger seat also take out the spare tire and empty out the windsheild washer fluid anything you can to even up the weight
4th go from a roll where you dont spin.
good luck

how bout this.. get 2-3 gallons of gas. spray your 90 shot hope to win and call it a day.
The extra octane can add a margin of safety against detonation in case he runs lean or knocks with the extra nitrous. And the lead add a cushoning agent that lessons the stress on internal components. Thats why I told him to get it so he can spray a lot safely not add hp.
last night was pretty cool.. took a bunch of b series honda lol.. and kept up with some stock fg2 civic si's (no spray on these runs, bottle was emtpy).. there was a bad ass red zr1 procharged that raced a BIG turbo neon srt.. gud ******* race. srt lost by a car because he broke up nasty wen he stasbbed third gear... best thing was there was no cops ! wat wat
