Raced a 08 HHR SS
i don't think its a flop, they don't have much following and really noone knows anything about them.
how is that?

When the hhr is making 300whp with just an exhaust or 349whp with increased boost, fuel, intake and some tuning we can talk. lol @ dodge can't compete w/ the LNF. I'm not hearing the solstice/sky crowd making too much noise either.
The cobalt ss tc will probably be a decent competitor (in drag racing at least) with the caliber. As far as corner carving I'm quite sure the cobalt will take that hands down.
Seriously though, with all the options out there for tuner-cars (boosted or not) why would someone pick an HHR SS?
Thats generally what happens when a car has/is about to flop.
You can leg hump it all you want Caliber srt > hhr.

Nice car btw love the orange!
Always liked it better than the GM orange.
Well I believe that this dude had no clue what he was doing in his brand new car. He obviously didn't know how to use the no lift shift or drive for that matter because this hhr ss is a pretty mean vehicle. We will see when my dad gets his and then ill post some results. (My dad can drive ridiculously cuz hes had so many cars ie porsche, roadrunner, charger you name it)
As far as the HHR SS > Caliber SRT4.....
All the new LNF drivers are gonna need someone to beat from light to light
Where do you get that the LNF is going to making big power in the near future anyways? Did you speak with some rep at a GM Tuner Source booth who claims that GM has tons in the works for it? When in reality the most there may possibly be is stage kits.
No thanks, I'll take neither.

look at any specs for the tranny going in the tc cobalt, and what does it say? max torque: 260.
if the gm rep, and all the printed info is wrong, then so be it, it's possible. it it's not wrong, there's going to be many, many disapointed people buying this car.

CSRT-4>LNF times eleventy billion. Get off the LNF's nuts already. That whole motor was a flop. DI FTL people. CSRT-4 has already proven it's a beast. same goes for the new evox. DI was not the right path.
yes, I've driven a soltice gxp. Great car and a great factory car. Great for bolt ons, yadda yadda yadda. But the motor just really wasn't meant for the tuner crowd.
I see it as a way for GM to offer a motor that can take some mods, but not too many and they won't be hassled with all the rediculous warranty work. Lol.
I'm just not a fan of DI at all and I've yet to see a huge market for a DI motor, except for Diesel of course, and I'm not gonna jump on the badwagon, especially when other car companies are putting out cars that are making rediculous power over stock with just a few modifications.

Dude caliber srt4 is prob the ugliest **** ive seen in a long time and the hhr is not a POS you retard 05redline. The hhr ss just came out and im pretty sure there are stage kits for the solstice so leave your shitty comments somewhere else. Wait and see what the ss/tc puts down dudes in for a suprise. Cant compare the lnf in the ss to the ss/tc sorry.
the whole hhr ss compared to a cobalt ss was a really bad comparo. that's for sure. but even tho the caliber might be ugly, that motor in there is rediculous! Dodge did something right!
I love my ss/sc and I dont plan on selling it for the lnf so dont accuse me of getting on the bandwagon. I feel good knowing I own a car only made for 3 years LSJ all the way
Yea dodge made the motor right but I wouldnt want to be seen in that thing its so ugly idc what it puts out rather be seen in the hhr ss with a classy design

Yea I like turbo but I think its a waste of our car to put it in. I honestly think our cars will be worth something someday and I know many people may say bullshit. But 30 years ago my dad and nobody in that time period thought a dodge dart, charger, roadrunner you name it would be worth something. It was always upgrading to something better. Now today those cars are worth a good chunk of change.
