numbers arent real world? Where did these numbers come from then? imaginary land?

Also when it comes to auto's yes numbers are the real thing. Because anybody can step on the gas full throttle 40MPH and pull a buslength within 10-15 seconds. Sorry man I love cobalts....but I know when are cars are outdone

I would think an SN95 with that Lightning motor would run circles around an SS/SC, especially from a dig, and probably pretty bad from a roll.

First Generation SN95 Mustangs. 94/95 Mustang GT 5.0L

i just did a yahoo search and found the sn95forums.com and thats a sub section. so his car is NOT an sn95, his is a '97, not a 94 or 95

his came with the 4.6, not the 5.0

his car IS an sn95 and his car SHOULD have raped you. no offense. mid 300's rwhp in a low 3k lb car with a solid axle. Imagine an ls2 swapped f-body and that's what his car should be on par with if not quicker. SN95 cars used a reworked fox platform. They were made from 94-98 and even the "new edge" mustang's from 99-04 were technically still sn95's. There's gotta be a problem with that car or he just plain can't drive.

I know what their capable of. Quick cars, and when built right they are pretty fast for what they are. But your stock with a 100WHP disadvantage. Just doesnt add up to me. Hopefully you get a good vid of the mustang tonight. Make sure you pop the hoods of both cars and see if their not "hiding" any v6's under there lol

so whats the difference between and sn95 and a 97 gt??? cause on that site it says the sn95 is a 94/95 with the 5.0 motor. not a 97 with the 4.6

SN95 is the chassis designation. The 96-98 cars were based on the same platform as the 94-95 cars, but changed.

No they are SN95 is like "f-body". It doesn't determine drivetrain or body style. it's all about the frame or chassis

yea i know sorry i edited it right when you quoted. I just woke up im in a bad mood lol

The sn95 chassis code describes the 94-98 mustangs. From 99-04 they were the "New Edge" style, but still technically an sn95. From 05-09 the mustangs are S197. I believe the '10+ will also be s197, but im not sure.

explain to me how you beat a LS1 from a roll yet got murdered by it from a dead stop???

Ls1s are MUCH stronger from a roll than they are from a dig... rarely ever will you "run down" a Ls1 f-body, pretty much, when they get a nose on you, its over, they keep pulling, unless you got a terminator Cobra, etc... not a stock LSJ

this is equivalent to saying a Sti walked you from a roll, but then in a race from a dig you put 3 cars on him, not happening

think about what you just said. Trans am is a RWD car, and automatic, so he doesn't have to worry about shifting and clutch slipping. we're, obviously lol, FWD...i had terrible wheel hop AND clutch slippage all the way through first. 40 rolls on our cars are insane, especially mine for some reason. the TA's top end doesn't start showing till triple diget speeds...as it did in this case. i had him by about .5-1 car length as soon as we started, but right at about 95-100 he started gaining on me but we also had to let off due to traffic

our cars are roll cars, ta's are dig cars

let me edit that:

you aren't beating an Automatic LS1 Trans Am in an almost stock LSJ from a roll... not even a 2.73 car, the slowest of the slow when it comes to LS1s, and I don't care if you take them up to 165mph

k good, so you should know that an LSJ's 40 roll is equivelent to a TA's 30 roll, and a TA's 40 roll(sucks) is equivelent to an LSJ's 30 roll(sucks)

how i beat him, i don't know. but i beat him. i've had a lot of suprises with this car honestly. first i put out 231/205 on the dyno, same dyno area uses but everyone seems to believe his numbers over mine..weird huh. and then my friend(who drive a bonneville) texted me and said he lest race. so me thinking "hey this"ll be easy" says yeah sure, so i meet him and hes in a C4 LT4 6speed. so i'm thinking i'm fucked, but i beat him from a dig AND a roll. then my other friend buys a '97 gt with a lightning motor swap, and he wants to race. so i say why not, i'll see how much he beats me by. well i end up beating him by about 2cars from a dig and about 4 from a roll. then my other friend gets a '95 Z28 with intake, headers back exhaust. and wants to race me. so again, i say **** it i'll see if i can keep up. well i beat him too!!! from a dig and roll. soo...i'm just as surprised as anyone else is.

oh and then my insane track times of six times in the 14.2X range

considering I own a 1999 trans am, that used to be a 2.73 car(now has Richmond 3.73s)... I think I know about their rolls

but that is the last time I mention that one on this board, as bringing in cars not specific to this board just encourages a **** storm and hence why its not mentioned in my sig

and 230whp is great, except that stock LS1s dyno 300whp(and some factory freaks have dynoed around 320whp stock) and were "rated" at 310hp(325hp for the later SS and WS6s, but there isn't any notable differences in the dynos from a base Z28 or Trans Am)... for your sake, I won't mention lightly modded because as the old saying goes, good luck finding many stock LS1s to race, we can put $1000-$1500 in these cars and get out 350-375whp with just bolt-ons and a tune(throw in a $300 cam and things REALLY get nasty), or you can cheat like me and put down over 400whp with some spray and bolt-ons

Ls1s fear the boost, but they love the juice

as far as 14.20s, once again, you won't find a 14.xxx anywhere near ANY of the LS1 f-bodies if properly driven, the 6-speeds stock for stock, were low 13 second cars(once again, a few factory freaks broke the 12s)... the autos were still very consistently 13.4-13.6 cars... half a second through the 1/4 doesn't sound like much, its about 5-7 car lengths, which is basically what you got walked by in that video... an auto LS1 f-body has more whp than you, doesn't weigh a whole lot more than you, and isn't going to miss a gear... from 40 you MIGHT would jump him, but by 80 he is going to start pulling on you like you are sitting still, you and I both know that

it happens to my turbo cobalt, I got walked BAD by a near stock LS1 formula... and driving ability isn't really of question, i'm confident in my abilities
