yea, but it wouldn't take much for a ls2 goat to walk away from a ls1 fbody. more displacement, higher flowing heads and intake manifold. Just intake and exhaust does more for the goat than it does for the fbody.

I bet I would beat you right now, off the bottle.... on the stock cam/manifolds.. that is right a bolt-on, stalled 4l60E Ls1 would **** all over you WITH your mods.. if you honestly think its going to take a cammed LS1 to beat a stock LS2 gto, you need to put down the ******* crack pipe as there is only about 35-45whp difference in favor of the GTO and yet a couple hundred pounds not in favor of the GTO not to mention the IRS(which is the suck at drag racing) for the GTO compared to the live axle of the f-body(which is the **** for drag racing).. we don't have the 1/4 here but all motor I'm right at 7.9s through the 1/8th(8.0000s. lol) and would have gotten in the 7s if I would have went back in cooler weather... I just want to run 7s all motor, its not fun if you cheat... But I will guarantee your header'd GTO isn't running anywhere near 7s right now through the 1/8th.. of course you "would" beat me from a roll more than likely, but I "would" more than likely arm the bottle and try again, since racing from a roll isn't real drag racing anyway(a 6-speed has a HUGE advantage in doing so over an auto), and I don't recall a drag strip ever letting anyone "go from a roll".......though a couple of Supra owners have probably tried

no doubt, stock for stock, the LS2s are quicker but they aren't "walking away" faster... its a driver's race... will always be a driver's race...

Ls2 GTOs on average seem to be 13.20-13.40 cars

where as LS1 f-bodies seem to be 13.30-13.50 cars

Actually you have that completely backwards.
1- Intake and exhaust do much more for an LS1 than LS2
2- The LS6 intake manifold on the 01-02 F-Body is the same flow if not better than a LS2
3- 300whp motivates 3400lbs the same as 350whp does 3700lbs

Thats funny because as they sit now my car would walk yours modded and a MS4 cammed & bolt-on LS1 will pull on me.

I ran an 8.1 in the 1/8th I'm pretty sure, on my 12.5 pass. I have to check my 11 second slip but I'm almost positive it was in the 7s. You wouldn't beat my car, try again

 

i'm also on the stock manifolds, etc.... the point with that rant is, it doesn't take a cammed LS1 to beat a stock LS2 GTO, not even close... As I have a Ls1 with a stall, a lid, a catback, and a tune running 8.0s.....in the southeast humidity...

 

I'm telling you from my experience on the street, no LS1 powered anything gave much of a fight. Not what a stalled auto is doing with a prepped track trapping ~105 lol

 

Will you give it up already.

First you make all of these bogus claims about what you ran stock, then with 20hp in mods and so on. Now you somehow magically pull on cars that are a drivers race for you stock vs stock. A stalled automatic LS1 with no other mods would have you playing catch up the last 100ft add in some mods and your GTO is toast.

You run mid 12's at best just like every other GTO modded like yours. So why insist on digging your already deep hole further?

I got no beef with you at all, but all the threads you make in the drag section and what not, you are only 19, you claim to beat all these cars that most people know for a FACT are faster. Not only that, but you wanna go through and change the whole TOP 10 list and you think that current rules in place are stupid.

how are any of those cars not beatable? if you don't believe me that i beat them thats your problem. just say you don't think i beat them. don't say i DIDNT beat them and that its impossible

and i never said i wanted to "change the whole top 10 list" i said i wanted to add a catagory for THOSE running an intake and exhaust so THEY aren't considered stock but THEY have no chance to get on any other list.....seems like a good idea to me....nothing will be changed or rearranged. and i also never said the rules were "stupid" i just, like i just stated, said that i think there should be a catagory for those with mods...but nothing to really add some power( intake and exhaust)
