so, have you ever looked at what Ls1 f-bodies did stock? even if you take a median of 13.5(some went lower, but we'll use this for the sake of arguing)... why that is only .7 seconds faster than one of the faster stock S/c balts............and guess what, .7 seconds through the 1/4 equates to about oh, 4-5 car lengths, possibly more, considering the LS1 traps about A LOT higher

not trying to be a LS1 nut hugger, but a stock s/c balt is not in the same ball park as a stock LS1 in performance... if you beat one, you beat a 6-speed driven by a fool that missed every gear in the process, meaning, he'd be better off in a 3.8L Camaro or Firebird... because even an auto 2.73 Ls1 car, the slowest of the slow, is going to walk a stock s/c Cobalt... Point Blank. Period. End of Discussion. No You Didn't. Neither Did Your Friend. That Guy Didn't Even Know He Was Racing, Fool.

this reminds me EXACTLY of the guys on LS1tech who were butt hurt that they couldn't out run 2003 Cobras when they came out...

"I had him to 100".... uhh, no you didn't... I'm not a F-body fan boy, I will tell you straight up... If it weren't for the $450 a month of insurance I was quoted on(compared to $122 a month on the Cobalt, and less than $100 on the TA), i'd be in a Cobra right now... But in that a used '03-'04 Cobra cost what I have in the Cobalt new(with a 75k mile warranty) and then throw in pretty much another car payment a month for insurance, well, that is why I am not in one(would cost me around $900 a month, that is if I found a Cobra in the $20,000-25,000 range)... oh, I COULD afford it, but I don't want to put myself in that financial strain right now... want to get a house(well, build one) within the next year, that insurance payment would knock a chunk out of a mortgage payment

You obviously don't understand that the physics of a roll race are very different from a dig. Especially when you're comparing FWD to RWD.

Sure he got ate from a dig...

yup, sure did, and i posted the video of it too. i also have the video of me beating the camaro too....from the dig, and roll.

and both those cars obviously are quicker than the vette, so no need to try and race him again to tape it. the only race i need to tape is my friends lighning swapped mustang. which shouldn't be a problem to beat him again

(Says he runs mid 12's in it)

Yes, I know it's in the early SN95 but they weigh pretty much the same as a New Edge.

Here is the engine in a lightning VS a Stage 3 with Nitrous SS/SC...keep in mind the Lightning weighs ~1300lbs more than the GT...

It will take more than a muffler to beat a car that should be deep into the 12's.

Look at the last vid.....Look at what all it took to win (SS/SC Stage 3 with a 50 shot) vs a Lightning (drop in filter) and the Lightning weights ~1300lbs more than the GT.........

Agreed

You would think that what stock LS1's, LS2's 03/04 Cobras and Lightnings can do would be common knowledge by now. But that is far from the case and the infromation about all range from fairly accurate to borderline fantasy. Most of us Cobalt & non Cobalt guys have become a little more level headed (me included) and have left fanboy status behind. So most assesments on what a car will do are a little more accurate than years past.

Then there are the few people that are still out in left field staring at the sun.

This is why people are arguing with you... You may have beaten it you may not, but the fact is that car should be WAY faster than yours. Stock 5.4 or not, it's a much faster car. MUCH faster. You shouldn't win against that car and other cars you have claimed to beat (not saying you did or didn't because anything is possible) that's what people are saying.

well, now it just sounds like a whole different level of BS. Can we say a street racing version of CBodnar? lol.

I'm just pulling your timing chain man. LOL. You can claim whatever you want on the internet. Only you know what you did and didn't do.
