Ran a impala SS.....

We were cruising at about 50mph going down the road i saw him but did not think anything of it, apparently he did though. He rolls down his window and asked me if my car was fast, i told him to find out, he said well mine is. Needless to say from 50 to 70 i had 2 cars and pulling hard i had to let up due to traffic. The look on his face was priceless he was like holy **** what do you got in that i told him it was supercharged he obviously must not of known about it gave him props on his car, he said he was stock i told him i was not so stock. cool guy though gave him a thumbs up and went on our ways

Nice. Which impala SS? There's four models just since it was a B-body in the 90's. You have the V8 impala SS in the B-Body, you have the 3800 Series II N/A in the late 90's to 03'ish, then the S/C one, and now the V8 LS4 SS.

pretty nice cars. I will never understand torquey engines with front wheel drive, but hell that even applies to srt-4's....it just goes against every form of logic!

Good to know. I wanted to race one the other day, but he turned off. Good thing I didnt

I'll leave that one alone until stg2. Would be a better race then.

Well, be careful. The late 90's, early 2000 to whenever the stuck the L67 in them aren't that bad. Once the SS gets teh L67 (GTP engine) it's a different story. Then after that, they (the SS) get the LS4 like the one pictured above.

I dunno, this isn't the V6 we are talking about, the is an LSx series V8. It may not be as ballsy as the LS1/2 but it's not going to be as weak from a roll as the S/C V6 is, even stock.

They are alright. My buddy had one and let me play with it for a little. I got on it from a dig and the amount of wheelspin was rediculous but kinda fun. Once it got traction he left at a pretty good pace. But because of that wheelspin, I see why its rated a 5.6 0-60. But it was a pretty fun car to drive around though.
