ran a ls1 t/a
and that doesn't mean it is going to last on every car for a long time. quite a few people have blown #4 with 2.6/2.5's which means you guys are right near the limit. I wouldn't feel comfortable being there unless i was ready to blow my engine.
Rolling down the street on my way back from work and i come up on a t/a so he paces me for a little then speeds up and slows down agian so i figure he is game. So we went from 45 to 80 and i had about a car and a half and pulling had to shut down cuz of traffic. His car sounded like a m6 but im not sure, its exhaust was loud but not full exhuast loud i think maybe he had a slp lm exhuast and i don't know what else. He drove around me afterward and did not look over i don't think he was happy but whatever.
He would have walked you hard after 80mph. 60-120 is where the LS1's shine.
Do you even know what LSJ has done to his car or are you just throwing things out there?
Just curious.

while the LS1 does its job very well, its a very simple and basic motor. While that has lead to its success and popularity, to carry on acting like the motor was handed down by god himself and can never be touched, which most to all LS1 owners do it seems, is narrow-minded. It's out-dated like the cars it sits in. You do have a point in the fact that the LS1 recipe did something right, leading to the production of the 2, 3, 6 and 7 LS engines.
JMO folks
Im just an, iphone instead of the zack morris phone, type of guy

and the LS1 "recipe" goes through to every truck GM produces with a V8 right now, a lot of the FWD V8 performance vehicles...the list goes on and on with what GM uses the LSX motor for
stock LS1's can go faster than 120...pretty easily too....

I don't think they use the LSX in any vehicle stock.
That thing is a monster.
LSX
At the 2006 SEMA show, GM Performance Parts introduced the LSX engine, an all-new cast-iron racing block based on the LS7 engine. It was designed with help from drag racing legend Warren Johnson, and despite being based on GM's small-block design, it offers displacements ranging from 364 cubic inches to 511 cubic inches (4.25" Bore x 4.5" Stroke) and is capable of withstanding 2500 bhp. This block incorporates two extra rows of head-bolt holes per bank for increased clamping capacity. The six bolt steel main caps are the same ones used on the LS7 engine. The engine debuted at the auto show in a customized 1969 Camaro owned by Reggie Jackson. The LSX will be available starting the second quarter of 2007, set to be available in authorized dealerships and retailers on March 31, 2007.

an ls1 was stuck at a red light and you were going down the road at 45 the light turned green and you floored it to 85 he was only a car and a half behind you and he didnt look at you because he knew he would start laughing and that you gonna go home post it on a forum and leave out the first part
thats just how it happens, it's not like i say we can only race froma 45 roll and to be fair almost every car i race i give them the hit even if i don't know what its running. your funny though always trying to start **** since you jumped on the gto bandwagon
i just speak the truth ,your good at roll racing yay
my balt wasnt as modded as yours i was running a 2.6 with an hp tuner tune , but i know i could outdrive you anyday of the week
Hey I went from the GTP wagon to the GTO wagon, lol....there are plenty of guys on the GTP forums that think they can take GTOs....some can, some can't....a SS balt would need more than a pulley and exhaust to keep up with a stock goat....
yeah you couldn't, your balt was no where close to mine and your not some greta driver you ran a high 13 if i remember so don't try to fool anyone asshat
i didn't keep up i beat by over two cars and let off while i was still pulling
