Stock 99-04 GT's CANNOT run mid-low 13's. The fastest stock 99-04 GT ever was when Evan Smith drove a Bullitt to 13.5. He also drove a regular GT to 13.7. Someone may be able to beat his times by a few thousanths, but those are virtually perfect runs.
Also, you don't need TQ to get off the line hard, you need HORSEPOWER and TRACTION. Horsepower comes from EITHER torque or rpms, and traction is obvious. The reason the SS/SC can't get off the line is not TQ or even HP, it's traction.
If you don't understand, let me know, and I'll hook you up with an explanation of Horsepower, Tq, and RPM.
Until then, YOU don't know what you're talking about, and stock 99-04 GT's do NOT run mid-low 13's.
No, you really do need torque to get off the line hard. Thats a proven fact, as horsepower is nothing but a calculated number, but Im sure you already knew that. Torque gets you off the line, horsepower carries you across the finish. Quick example: high hp/low tq turbo hondas that dont spool till after 60 ft. They dont get off the line hard but pull hard after half track. Everything else you say I agree with, and I find it funny that one Mustang guy is proving a much more retarded and less educated Mustang owner wrong on a Cobalt board

A near stock 95 Cobra hitting 12.9?!?! HAHAHAHAHAHA. A friend of mine just got his to run a 13.9@99 and his isnt near stock. Stock intake manny, cam, and heads but with basic bolt ons. Car might be good for a 13.7 if he drives it hard which he wont, but sure as hell not a 12.9. What kinda track are these Stang guys running on, 1000ft tracks?
