Unfortunely i didnt look at the schedule for the track until this morning...realised that street legals isnt tonight...its usually every friday but theres some event going on tonight and the rest of the weekend. I might go next friday. Going to be going camping that weekend so iiunno...be leaving early saturday morning. But hopefully i can get a few runs in. 100% chance ill get a few runs in with a mustang gt..lol
btw...Ozzy does the 350z have the same issue with hot oil temps as the 370's do? i dont know what mod i want to buy first...either dual injen intakes or oil cooler kit. Not sure what temp in *C it triggers but at a certain temp it triggers limp mode and loose alot of power. I havent been driving the car that hard to trigger it yet but i most likely will at the track.

HOLLY WASTE OF MONEY BATMAN!!!!
So like, can you just not live without a 370z because there are at least 3 other cars out there from the top of my head that are 100% faster, better in every way then a 370z... and their all American and right at or under $50,000 brand new 2009/2010 models.
2010 SS Camaro
2010 Mustang GT
2009 Corvette C6 (ls3 < BEAST OF A MOTOR, add $3,000 worth of mods and you will beat 95% of the cars out there)
2010 GT500

no doubt in my mind u would rape him. Considering you ran a 13.4? which is in your sig. My buddy with mods/tune in a ss/tc ran a 13.2 ...so stock tc would be nothing.

My 350 is plenty capable of 13.2's stock, Florida just rarely has good track weather. My 13.4 was only at 103mph, I've trapped as high as 106 but track prep was terrible, I had to launch off idle instead of 5K RPM. I was running 13.5's @ 106 with 2.2 60's. If it was my usual 2.0 60's it would have been 13.2's no problem.
I don't think the 350's suffer from that issue. But I think its only an issue at like an auto-x/road course when you are constantly on the throttle. If you are drag racing it will probably be fine.

First I never said it was impossible to make 1000rwhp I said it was impossible to make a 1000rwhp for 10k.
Second most kits are rated at the fly so 900hp isn't even close to 1000rwhp and when you are at those power levels 900hp isn't even close to 1000hp. If you think exhuast and simple bolotns will pick you up 100hp your in for a rude awakening.
Also if you think you can build an engine for even $3000 you are very inexperienced in the automotive world. Making a motor reliable to 1000rwhp doesn't come cheap, I don't care how many discounts you get. Even then you are still leaving out trans, rearend, fuel system ect because I promise you they will not hold up to those power levels.

370 is still a nice performing vehicle. Straight line and in the twisties. I saw one the other day and I have to say from the rear end they look like a spaceship though.
The OP also consented he lost so why all the flaming? I'm sure with a few bolt ons he'll be taking that balt easily. Plus Nissans are built a hell of a lot better than our pieces of crap. I honestly enjoy driving the girls four door 2003 elderly person Altima over this car simply to avoid all the pieces of crap plastic rattling, ride comfort, quality, etc.

Bah...damn army ******* my pay up again. I'm $650 short of what i was suppose to get this pay...only got $2000. I'm getting my windows tinted today and was going to order probably dual intakes or a underdrive pulley for the car but now i have to wait until they sort their **** out

you cant compare your $17,000 car to what you are comparing it to. Why is everyone still bashing on this. He likes what he purchased and leave it at that. If you dont agree then move the **** on and keep your opinion to yourself

yah its nice, tuned for it on Tuesday. Goes pretty good. Have header and downpipe now i just have to get the stock cat back to full 3 inch. But im out of money as dog had to go in for surgery on Wednesday as he slipped a disc so now will be paying for that for a while.

that sucks about the dog..sorry to hear that. Glad u like the tvs, with the right tuning/mods u will be a best...most of the power is at the top end. I just never gave it a chance, part of me still regrets that.

I think its funny how you talk about getting high 12s with weight reduction. That would no longer mean your stock. Stock = the way it comes from the factory. Untouched, not drag radials, not weight reduction, no mods period. If I owned a 370, it would not be for performance oriented reasons. It pure looks sexy, I'll give it that.

Nice car op. You made the right choice getting rid of the cobalt. On a side note 1000hp will cost a lot more then 10000. You'll need a built motor, turbo kit, fuel system, roll cage, built drivetrain, better tires, suspension, gauges, etc.

yes i know that, i was throwing a rough number out there...$10,000 for the TT kit...weather it produces 900hp to the crank or wheels i dont care....my plans are stage 1 or 2 twin turbo....500-625hp. Still debating what brand intake to get. Injen has good rep. but stillin seems to be squeezing the most hp out of the intakes. God damn the dealership for not giving them to me.

Good for you, the fact remains you were being a tool to the guy because you believe he won on account of driver error. It makes you a bigger douche to run you mouth to someone when you are admittedly no better. Oh and just so you realize buddy, most races are won or lost on account of driver error. There is a reason its a competition to see who is better...

i agree with that 100%. If there was no driver error then it wouldnt be a race...it would be basically what car is has more power and better time...it would be pointless. Otherwise the car with more hp would win...whats the point of racing then? I have driver error all the time with launching cuz i suck at it.
Anyways here is some pictures i just took of the tint i just got done. Cost me $204 for 5% all the way around (except for windshield) but its well worth it...the place gives a life time warrenty, so if it bubbles, peals or any other issues they will either A. give me my money back or B. re-do the tint.
And heres a 350z that is owned by a guy in my apartment...just thought i would post it for ***** and giggles.

Looks good, I have mirror tint on mine. One thing is for sure though, pictures really do the 370 no justice. They are so much better looking in person. When I seen the first pics of them I was like eh, I'm not sure if I like it. I went to Follow the Z and seen it in in person and was in love. Huge improvements over the 350 in a lot of areas.

+1 Dude
I don't care where you read that that car can make 1000rwhp on $10,000 but they are smoking crack. 1000rwhp isn't an easy feat especially when starting with a NA V6. Plus you have fuel system, rearend, transmission, tuning, ect.
I have over $10,000 in my car and I'm not even close to 1000rwhp.
I honestly don't even know if a GT500 can make a 1000rwhp with $10,000. I think it could but it would be close.

I have to agree that the 370Z looks better in person... I think they're a huge improvement styling-wise over the 350, but the pictures don't really convey that.

i was thinking that myself...me and my girlfriend were joking and said we should put a "wide load" bumper sticker on the back. The pearl white 370's seem to bring the flare out even more

I'm saying the 370Z is not the quickest but that maybe he doesn't care about that; it's not always about speed, it's about personal taste.
Anyway why the hell should you be telling him what "he should've bought" ? It's his money, his taste in cars so who cares what people think ?
You bought a TC, it's the quickest and most nimble in it's category but it has many flaws. So based on your logic you say it's the best car to buy in it's category just because it's quicker ?
