Stock SRT-4 vs Cobalt SS

So me and skatecity met up tonight in new mexico for a few runs. We had some good races.

First was from about 35 roll. I put a 2 or 3 cars on him by about 100
Second was from a dig which I proceeded to miss 3rd and put again about 3 cars to about 90 or 100

3rd was on the highway kind of downhill from about 40 and it was closer like 2 cars to about 90 again.

Oh he had the K&N CAI on his css/sc. They were good races but man my 3rd gear was pullin the hell out of him. I have a small clip but since I was shifting with a camera in my hand its a real bad video. Also im not sure about those numbers up there but it was there abouts. He also had his friend in his car which could have put us a little closer. Over all a good race with a great guy with a nice ass car. I better get my stages before he gets his or im done.

Good race Skatecity.

Ill post the videos if you guys want, but i warn you and yes you can see the margin of victory.

I think he did good for him being stock, and you having intake. Plus he had a passenger.

yea passenger can make quite a difference. I have a 06/ss/sc i/e my bro has a ION redline i/h/e from a roll we run neck and neck from 40 - 120. One day on our way to dennys we raced from a 40 and he had a 200 lb passenger in his car and I busted his ass. He thought his car was messed up, it was atleast 2-3 cars difference. Then on our way back I took the passenger, and he did the same thing to me It really was surprising to see what an extra 200 lbs does to our cars.

oh and I raced a stock 06/sssc with my friend who wieghs a hefty 290, and even with I/E he ran with me if not pulled a little

Depends on how fast you're going at the end of the 1/4 mile

At 100 mph, each .10 of a second = ~15 ft, so if you consider 20ft a "car length" then 3 car lengths would be about .40 of a second.

IM 6.0 tall and from my memory I would say if 2 of me layed down head to foot I we would be longer then a normal car. So I would think 12 foot would be a good indication of a car length? maybe less?

EDIT:

Cobalt SS is 180 inches long. That works out to about 15 feet.

Yeah, with cars trapping around 100mph, one tenth is roughly equal to 1 car length.

It also translates to around 0.10 (1 tenth) off your 1/4 mile time.

Here is the video, but excuse the quality I told you that I was shifting with my camera hand. But you can see the cobalt in the side view at the end and you see the pull from
3rd.
