Yea sorry I just don't see this happening. I raced a few SS/SCs in my 04 L during the short time I had it and it took a stage 2+ cobalt to beat my truck from a 40 roll and I was bone stock. I raced a stock SS/SC from a 40 roll and pulled 2-3 cars easily on it.

There is no way in hell that your going to pull a L 4 cars at all let alone within a 15mph frame.
Unless it had some serious problems or was a 93-95.

did you really expect no trolls to show up with a story like this and no videos or witnesses? Recipe for disaster as you must remember you are on cobaltss.net

I'm immune to trolls though

Doesn't bother me, just thought I'd post it up.

Stock SS/SC is in no way shape or form going to pull a modded 2nd gen.

In all actuality the Dodge has a higher top speed but when it comes to 1/4 mile performance the L is usually faster. The SRT10s are extremely hard to drive. My neighbor owned one and ended up selling it to get a Ram Daytona. LOL He bought the SRT10 and got beat by a few local Ls (including mine) and sold it after a few months. He says he bought the Daytona because it still looks fast but gets better gas mileage and is cheaper on insurance.

thank-u cole.lol. Man dnt let these trolls walk all over u. A win is a win. Whether the guy didnt know hwo to drive it or missed a shift or wat have u, he wanted to race and lost it's that simple. U cant race someone at the track lose because u miss a shift than try to bash on the guy sayin oh my car is still faster. The lighting lost. Except it people

Might be a little easier to accept the missed shift thought if lightnings were offered with a manual transmission.

If a regular cab Ram SRT-10 6-speed can hook it's faster than the L in a 1/4 race I've seen it. Capable of low 13's trapping at 107+. Still I'd take the L anyday because of how well it responds to simple mods.

Around that time of the vid the Lightning was "heat soaked" by then. Not really built for repeated runs stock.

Its not people being trolls its just common fact a trucK that traps 104 stock isn't going to be pulled 4 cars by a car that traps a hair over 100 especially in a 15-20mph time frame. Plus its hard to screw up drving an auto.

Yea I know that but if you ever have drove one they aren't that easy to drive and a low 13sec pass is with a great driver. You can put a rookie behinde a L and click off a mid-high 13sec pass there first run.

Yeah I agree. You really need drag radials to be consistent with that behemoth. I'd take the L all day though because of response to mods. Btw your GT is impressive!! Use to have a '02 GT myself. I now have a GTO and I might turbo my Goat to catch ya!!

Thanks man. I might switch to a turbo in a few years, you can make so much more power with them. My car is still on stock heads and intake so Im leaving over 100rwhp on the table. After I finish up my 89 LX, and get the intake, pulley, and tune on my GT500 I might add the heads and intake to the GT or I might just throw a 100 shot on it.

There is a local guy that has a 57mm on his LS2 GTO on low boost he was making low 500rwhp if I recall corectly.
