Stock SS/TC vs modded GTO LS2
actually it was a bone stock TC. and no **** a GTO is faster in the 1/8 mile but why dont you find someone with a stock TC and stock LS2 GTO and have them race in a 1/4 mile because I have seen no proof of one of those yet. until then I won't change my mind the Cobalt was gaining on him at the end, with an idiot driver, with the GTO having a couple mods. Prove me wrong, with footage.
the fastest fully bolted on tuned ss/tc that I've heard of is 12.75.
at what point do you see a stock for stock run being close?

and spap a turbo on a GTO and see where your TC with a bigger turbo is.
same mods vs same mods=death for cobalt.
stock vs stock= death for cobalt.
and the GTO is cheaper than the balt is now...
and you can build a V8 cheaper than you canbuild a 4 cylinder..

When is this going to end everyone nut hugs the big v8's because they can't impress the girls with anything in thier pants so they have to do it with a motor. I drive a 2.0 bcuz i got 3x more in my pants than all those 6.0 goats got

or they just make more money than you, want to spend more on a car than you, prefer the paltform more, want a v8 because it has more potential....you know there are a lot of reasons to get a different car. Speaking the truth like, "a balt has no chance against a goat stock for stock" doesn't mean you're a nut hugger, it means you can see reason.

when is the ss/tc nuthugging going to end. Everyone nut hugs the ss/tc because it can make 300+whp "OMG TUNE ONLY!!!!!" but they can't impress the girls with anything in their pants so they have to do it with a OMG TURBO!!!! I drive a supercharged LSJ because I got 3x more in my pants than all those turbo junkies got.

Truth. Ive built both.
GTO humpers is what i said lol. And I still would rather drive a Cobalt TC than a GTO. If I want to go fast in a straight line I'll just take my (and my dads) 540ci 69' RS/SS Camaro to the track. I was only laying out the things that I saw from the video and made an assumption of the 2 cars. I know a lot about the TC but apparently not much about the GTO; could be because i dont like them that I dont research them much.
Anytime you mention dad/yours it is safe to assume dad paid for it, turned most the wrenches (or paid for a builder to build it) and you put on the head lights and shifter knob. No way I would let me son drive a car with a motor like that when his daily driver is a NA Cobalt with out me in the passenger seat on our way to get a snow cone. Hey, my old man and I are restoring my late Unlce's 66' Jaguar E-Type, should I claim that car as mine?

Speaking of, how does the GTO do on the road track , stock form? Its a great car, I like it.
There is another video out there of this race which doesnt show the balt, but the gto sleeps on the line and balt still loses.

It's a good set of tires away from destroying a TC around a road course. The only thing that would keep it close is the shitty stock tires it comes with.
We didnt get the gto up here so I dont see any at the track. However I saw a nice 70 around the other day. I smelled the gas before I saw the car.. Dude said something about it having a factory ram air and 400 ci? Not sure about vintage gtos, he said it was rare... it was butterscotch though...
I wouldnt think I would pull on a bolted LS2, even tuned in a straight line race. RWD v8 drag racing FTW.

i can tell you if i still had the 20k for buying my car and i could give it back i would just buy my good friend next door's 1995 Supra TT in great condition 60,000 miles bone stock except for a TRD catback. way better than a Cobalt or GTO
