my buddies have 91 and a 93 supra. the 93 is ridicolous and runs 11 or 12s. but the other guy with the 91 has a 1jz swap and on high boost it puts out 340rwhp. lol that thing is a beast and we run side by side if i launch well.

got that info right here^^^^^
seems pretty fair to the cars though... it gives the ss s/c a: 6.1 0-60mph and a 14.4 1/4 mile
that seems about avg. compared to what i've heard on here, and compared with my own slips

the newer ones are mid 13s but yeah, the older ones werent that fast, supras are also very heavy cars and geared high. I had an 87 N/A and my buddys z24 cavy could take me no problem, but once we get into the higher speeds, I pass him, going into a corner, I will lose him. Those car have amazing handling, strong motor/drivetrain and with some mods, they can be very fast.
stock 95ish Supra TT .....you will need stage 2 to keep up with one but with 2.6" pulley, 60s, supporting mods, good tune, full exhaust, you should be able to take one but it will be a very close race.

don't expect to keep up with any mid 90's tt supras if you see one on the street. if you know the guy and it is stock, you could keep up if you are modded past stage 2ish area, but 99% of the tt supras on the road are modded, and those things pick up a good 100 horsepower with minor mods. the 2jz is ******* amazing.

agreed the 2jz is a beast of a motor...the damn things can handle 800rwhp on the stock block...the 1jz can handle around 600rwhp, and the 7mgte ::single turbo 87-92:: could handle 550rwhp....the supras downfalls where shitty headgaskets and they were tanks lol....i drove a 88 turbo supra

yea, and the biggest reason people don't **** with them is because they are almost always modded. The 2jz supras still sell for 20k with fairly high milage, so anyone in their right mind that isn't modding will not buy one, which leads at least 90% of the owners to mod, and with a few grand these things can put down HUGE power.

Supras are sick, will always want one, maybe will have one someday, its basically and imported muscle car in my opinion...nothin can top the sound of a T88 turbo spooling up and than takeing off and the blow off, nothing!....
