well the day started off as usual... worked in the morning... took a nap when i got home... when i woke, my mom told me some bad news... grandpa had died, cancer took over again, but thats a different story...... anyway, i needed to clear my head, so i went for a drive... just riding around, i see the new mazda3 turning through a intersection at excessive speed, soooo i followed =) im just kinda hangin around behind him doin about 70ish... i flashed my lights at him to give him alil signal, and right after that we had to slow down to almost nothing cuza some idiot turning into a driveway, he floored it, i floored it, i had to backoff alil.... well went alil further down the road and we caught a red light on a 4lane... he comes next to me, revs alil, i smiled...
light was red, i put down to I or whatever it is (autotrans) reved to about 2800rpm, and waited for the green... green drops, i get the jump, then i pull on him like crazy, about 2 cars lengths... not PINKS lengths, actual car lengths haha... then i get off of it... slow down to the speed limit, and he flies by...
...it was brand new as well, had the paper plate in the window... and guess what, he had navigation... therefore meaning he was a 2.3l... because thats only optional on the S GrandTouring model...

also my car is completely stock except for audio, i have aprox. 120lbs of sound... i was riding alone, on 1/4tank of gas... he had one passenger... (said that for the weight issue)

well it was fun... good ending to an off night...

Good one Mike. I've yet to race a Mazda3 here where i live..come to think of it when got off work last night i was cruising and all of a sudden a guy in a laser blue ss/sc and another guy in a neon sxt comes flying by me. so what do i do? i throw it into a lower gear and catch them..had to slow down cuz we were doing about 55 in 45 zone and we were just passin people left and right. we all had a good time but went separate ways.

as one of thouse "ss crew" people i'd like to take this chance to say that i do have respect for the 2.2 because when it all comes down to the end the 2.2 with a turbo our heavy build will make more power than mine cuz that dam some what useless blower.

but yea dam good kill....i've been lookin for one of them mazdaspeed 6's....i wanna know what they got

 

i lost to a civic hatch yesterday, but goodjob, gives me hope for future races lol

 

i lost to a new altima and a cobalt ls coupe a few weeks back. no big deal though didnt have my mods then. looking to find those guys now. i wanna get a hold of a civic and see where i stand.

my wife almost brought me a mazda3. thank god she got me the cobalt instead.
