Why does everyone think the srt is the best mopar and nothing else matters.Look at ss sc stock for stock the r/t is as fast,put a few mods on each and you get a mid 13 car.Sure a srt would off been nice,if i wanted just a car for speed not comfort or ride for a few thousand more i would a bought a evo or sti.

 

For the same reason that everyone thinks that the BMW Ms, and the Mercedes AMGs are the best, becuase they are. And, BTW, SRT comfort is just fine thanks. Driven mildly, most folks would never notice anything amiss in the comfort level of an SRT, not until the hammer goes down and the cornering forces build.

 

holy sh#$%t 3x,i didn't say the srt drove bad just said that i bought the r/t for the ride.The srt is a charger same as r/t,people seem to forget that may not be as fast but still a charger. I didn't by a srt because of gas mileage.By the time i put heads and cam i'll be as fast as a srt with mds.People supposely walk on random stock r/t and think there slow.It makes me laugh.Do they think the r/t don't have bolt on same as ss sc.A stock ss sc is 14.2 to 14.5 stock same as r/t.With bolt ons Mid 13 both cars with cam and heads r/t is 12 sec car .Whats wrong with that,fast with lots of legroom,,

 

Bro if you like\love your car who cares how other people view it. No need to justify why its a good car. I'm the type of guy that only buys the top model loaded or not at all. Thats why I personally preffer the srt models.

What, I have an overblown ego because I answered your question? You asked why folks thought that way, I explained it. Ive never said a bad word about the RTs, nor will I. My car doesnt make me any better than anyone, Ive driven some real crap boxes in my day. My only point was to answer your question.


I will add, now that you mention it. That just "going as fast as an SRT" is only part of the equation. Theres braking and handling to consider also. You will generally find that folks who did go for an SRT wanted the whole package, right out the door. performance, handling, braking, and comfort, all right from the factory. Some folks prefer to do it themselves, and thats cool to. Choice is what its all about.
