These, are the way I would be going if I did not get a special deal on Star Specs. Seem like a very good tire to me.

The regular Nitto 555 isn't that good. Don't see what the fuss is all about.

The GOOD 555 is the DR. There are two different versions.

the nitto invos are way better than the nt 555s as far as grip goes. tread life i don't know yet. I just got them. the nt 555's didn't last long at all though i didn't like them at all.

All right this is the longest most in depth post I will make on tires.I have owned 41 cars in my life(37) I have modded most and have put wheels/tires on a lot of them.I have had most tires mentioned at one time or another on one car or another, except the Ventus V12's though I have read excellent reviews on them.I am on my 4th or 5th set of Nitto NT555's in my life,I like them, they fit my criteria, which is very similar to yours I highly recommend them for price, performance and tread wear. And to those who always recommend KDW's, maybe you haven't tried a lot of tires out,but they suck and ride terribly.

KDWs are far superior to the radial 555, I've had experience with both.

I love these tires, they really hug the road and will only set you back about $500 for the 235's. http://www.vulcantire.com/azenis_rt6...zes_and_prices
Can't tell you how long they'll last though, I only have about 1,000 miles on mine.
