Bet those were fun to get onto those wheels. Could you fit a 225-235 if you wanted to?

So a fellow HHR owner wrote this about my new setup:

Sorry, my 2c, but trying to make it look like a slammed Subi, why not just get one? Far better power, AND looks wise... I mean, I like the Depos, and the stickers and all.. But the gold rims, and yellow fogs...

I'll take that as a compliment! lol

Hopefully I join the wheel club after taxes!

I am looking at the STR 521 17x9+20 Some of their styles I like only start at 19' and I'd like to go 17 and run super sticky tires. I enjoy the back roads and traction on my LSJ-t too much lol

Since you guys are the wheel experts I'm reposting this in this thread to get an answer. These are going to be winter wheels so stance isn't very important, I just want to be 100% positive they'll fit over the Brembos. Thanks in advance.

Looking at these for a winter tire/wheel setup because they are some of the cheapest and don't look like garbage.

Specs are as follows:
Wheel Size
17 x 7.5

Bolt Pattern
5/110, 5/115

Wheel Offset
42mm

Hub Bore
73.00

Weight
20 lbs

based off specs alone wont get your answer, i would say yes based off specs. but really the shape of spokes are the determining factor as brembos are massive as fuu hahaha

are you able to contact the seller or test fit them?

personally.... i'd just scoop up a cheap set of Ion Redline 17s (will clear Brembos without spacers) or Cobalt SS/na 17s (will clear Brembos with a 5mm spacer).

If there were any in the area that is what I would do too but they aren't very popular around here.

The SS/NA wheels I picked up fit over the Brembos without a spacer. By fit I mean you can't shove a piece of paper in there without it practically shredding, but they do spin without hitting anything. I'll be getting extended studs to allow for the 5mm spacers I have, could probably get away with 3mm spacers and OEM studs.

It's through an online tire company so I have an email into them. It says the rim will fit in an 18", but this site doesn't give alternative rim sizes like tirerack does.

Can anyone throw up some pics of Cobalts on CCW Classic reps?

I cannot decide between a Varrstoen ES7 17x9 +35 or just saying screw everyone else and get the ES2's in the same size

Try something new, if i could go back in time i would have gotten something other than the ES2. no one around me has them, so thats a bonus, but there is plenty of definitely other wheels that haven't been done yet that would look very good.
