Thanks everyone, I really appreciate it. I saw this thread a couple years ago and I always told myself "I wish I could get nice fitment on my cobalt" and I think I am getting there finally lol. The car gets a TON of hate on the cobaltss page on facebook its pretty funny.

i agree man, we all do things different. I don't mind the hate honestly I'm use to it but we can't all have the same car for the same intended reasons, what fun would that be? lol

time to channel the experts. HHR SS here. will be getting a set of randy coils soon as my b&gs arent cutting it anymore.

i bought 20mm 5x114 adapters off someone on here quite some time back.

what are the offset / width options Im looking at to get a good stance(nothing crazy. just even-sitting at the fenders)

thanks guys. ideally i would like to get a set of detroit steel wheels. but am going to look around for quality used wheels once my coils are on

Youll need something with a stupid high offset around +50 because of the adapters

thats what im thinking. not many GOOD options at that point. hell. looking at mostly oem wheels then...

i saw some nt03 35+ all around for a good deal id love to try but have a feeling itd be way too much... then again the HHR fenders seem to be much wider then the cobalts... let me look it up

35-20 gets ya +15 offset, youll be beyond the flush look you want and probably wont look good without going lowered than you desire.

either run some custom drilled wheels to 5x110, redrill the hubs/rotors or run a spacer/adapter which wont be much smaller than the 20mm which i think custom 18mm is the smallest youll get

u have options, check out other fellow hhr guys that are into the scene to see what they have experienced with fitment

Get some 18x10 +10 all the way around. It'll equal out to about -20mm, and run like -9 degrees of camber. You can do it!

there is only one.. and hes not an SS he is on here. hes only had his one set of wheels on there. ill have to double look.

but honestly. i dont want to spend crazy money on it because id rather buy more go fast parts or just get some street slicks lol....

i really like the g37 19s. not sure on the offset but cant imagine its much being oem....

i got the spacers for 125 bucks hubcentric nice ones. once it hits spring i can try a couple of my friends wheels on just to check for some clearences to be sure. love your car btw.

hahah... i ideally want to get detroit steel wheels... im not ready to order them yet and havent checked what offsets they do offer. that will be my final wheel and look but until i do order them i got the spacers last year to try some things this spring. unfortunately the steels dont come in 5x110 thats why i originally got the 5x114 adapters

ARK R8 wheel 18x8 et 35 5x114.3

so something like that wouldnt fit ok. fack.

edit #3241

http://boston.craigslist.org/nwb/pts/4788264464.html

cheap price... no offset but looking it up they all seem at least 40.. im going to email him.
