I see everyone dropping money left and right on aftermarket rims and was just wondering if anyone just ran stock steelies. I wanna see pics of people who are.

I put HHR steelies on my LSJ for a while and when I took them off they got sold to Stonny9 on here who is still rocking them. Work great, don't look that bad honestly and ride nicer than stock LSJ rims. Tires are much cheaper too.

Putting power down is a slight issue, but I also had two sets of rims with sticky tires on them if needed so they were just my daily driver rims.

Only time people run stock steelies on purpose is for snow tires.

Or if you want to put some slicks on them. I've seen people do that.

Well I just look at it like I've got better stuff to spend a grand on besides wheels. Plus I like being different. And it'll be funny as hell when I got done with forced induction had a decent amount of power rocking stock steel wheels and people thinking my car ain't sh*t. Lol

Exactly, put some good tires on them and they will hook up just fine, and on a base model car it will really catch people off guard.

i got them on right now with my snow tires if that counts but i also plasti-dipped the plastic covers black too so i have an all silver/black theme going on... check my pics if you want to see for yourself. (oh and i only dropped about $500 bucks on aftermarket wheels for summer and that was with tires mounted and balanced)

Well I know a lot of 5 lug cobalts run stock wheels. But usually the 5 lugs look better then the 4 lug wheels from the factory. I'm honestly thinking about it just to do something different. I mean regardless it's gonna look cheap as hell whether I keep the hubcaps on or not cause everyone knows that steelies are under the hubcaps. So might as well pull them off. Lol

You want to join the civic movement? Unless you have snow tires on them steelies are gay. About as gay as the people rattle canning their stock rims. Get a job and get them powder coated.
