Yah, I want the front end down about a 1/2" more. They only lowered the front about 5/8" which sucks and is not what they are listed as the amount of lowering. I'll live with the back because I haul upwards of 500 lbs of gear in the trunk about once a week. I don't want to go as low as what the sportlines go since I put up to 100 miles per day on the car, and some of it is some shitty freeways.

Heres the correct thing to do:

1. Sell your Pro-Kit springs.
2. Buy Sportlines, H&R Race springs, Sprint springs, Tenzo-R springs, etc etc for a larger drop.

k thnx

Yah, that was the blue one I saw. I believe he said it was the GM kit. That is the one I'll eventually get. Its clean, but not obnoxious. Thanks for the link!

On suspensions, I was lowering Hondas in 1989 (yes, almost 20 years ago), had a nice little deal going for a while doing a few Accords a week. This was when people would see my car and say "you lowered a Honda???"...lol. I'm not kidding! The only way to lower them was cutting the springs. Then Suspension Techniques came along so we started using those instead if the owner wanted to fork over the dough for them.

I work for an aftermarket truck suspension manufacturer so...well...you know

and do they use progressively wound springs? because if they don't then that doesn't mean much not trying to be a dick but you REALLY have to know what you're doing.. and either way it's not the correct way to do it

Thanks Marin (and everyone else).

EB, we don't use progressively wound springs. We manufacture lift systems, not lowering .
I did measure it again this evening when I got home from work and it dropped 1/8th on both side since Sunday. Another 1/2" would be good.

Damn those rims on that car look pretty damn sexy. Black on black. Good choice!

And to the guy that posted the link to that blue Cobalt with the trim.. I assume that's the GM. I know it isn't yours, but I'd love to have that trim instead of getting an aftermarket body kit... it looks sick!

yea i really like the sides and rear of that kit.. the front i feel like needs a piece that connects the both sides kinda like the ss/sc lip does but it's definitely a nice kit..

and to the OP i'm not trying to be a dick.. just the physics and such are very different and you could totally destroy your ride quality as well as make your springs wear out quicker if done the wrong way.. when i got my springs they dropped about an inch more after they settled so don't be too hasty

Yeah the front is the only part I don't like.. but damn on GM's Accessories site the whole kit is over $1000.. I don't have that kinda money to spend, I wish I could find a better deal on it.

Go to GMpartsdirect.com. They have the kit on there, painted your factory color, for like $765.
