I just put on 235/40/18 on stock wheels. They fit fine, no rub, and only a 1% error to the OD @ 65MPH. Best benefit - much lower cost and options compared to the stock tire size.

Well I was looking at some reviews today on the T1R's and apparently they suck. I'm not sure if I am liking the tread pattern on the KDW's or not. I was reading that the Eagle F1's are pretty good but the closest size I could get is a 225/40 or 235/40. Any other suggestions to help me decide?!?

About 17,000, they had 4/32 left on them. I am VERY hard on tires though, I had the stock ones worn out at 11,500. I also don't wait until they go bad to change them, when I know they are getting close I replace them. I take corners like i'm autocrossing all day long, so tires don't last real long with me. Gotta pay to play I guess.

What about the Falken FK-452. It has a 300 treadwear, AA traction, A temp. Decent prices too. Anyone try these? I may have to look into these too. I would like to get a new set before I make my way up to Beaver Springs Raceway.

Yeah I saw the Kumho had decent reviews with AA and 320 treadwear and it was really cheap. I'm not the biggest fan of Kumho though. Im still not sure which ones im gonna get. I'm leaning towards the T1R.

my buddy has T1R's on a Merc C230 sport kompressor.... 245's in rear and they look evil and stick like glue then again he is under 200 HP

I had Kumho SPT's on my 03' R/T and loved em... If you go through tires like me, you'll just get the Kumho's

I'm not hard on tires at all really. I think the fact that I have 19k on the stock ones and I should get atleast 20 out of them goes to show you that. I just think the T1R's look bad ass. I stopped at got prices today, I can get the T1R in a 225/45 for 163/tire, the SPT for like 105. Still not sure what I am gonna do.

If your comments are indeed true with your current mods the BFG is the way to go. I really wish my tires would grip like that. ^ awesome not to be able to spin the tires much. Exactly what I want. I'm going to try the BFGs.

Kumhos suck for traction. You really do get what you pay for. Eagle F1 GS D3s are the best tire for the street ever made. They are very pricy though. BFG IMO is best bang for the buck.

Anyone try the Falken FK 452? I found them for 135.00 a tire shipped, pretty good price. Ratings look pretty good on it. I may just end up getting those. I was hoping at least someone on here has them or had. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

452 is an okay budget tire. Not as sticky as most of the other tires in this thread. In the sticky tires I prefer Advan then GS-D3.

What about the Kumho SPT? I know its pretty much cheap as hell but every review I saw said it was awesome. I would like some feed back from those who have had this tire please, that would be excellent. Is the sidewall nice and stiff for good cornering? Traction in first better than the stockers? Tread life? Thanks a lot guys, appreciate it.

my family has a tire place, and i just put on the 452's. 225 30 20's.
its not so much a "budget" tire. i think its way better then the stock peices of ****.
people just automaticaly think "bfg's" they are so much money and are so good. which isnt always true.
i have many people saying how much better a cooper made tire is then a firestone or general or goodyear. It's in a lot of peoples head's....

I am still not sure what tire I want. I don't want to spend a fortune on them because I have yet to be to the track. I will probably make my way up there in July sometime. I got 20k on the stockers now so I need to get some soon. I just want a AA A tire pretty much. I may just get the Kumho SPT or Falken FK 452. Even though they SPT is really cheap it actually is rated really high.
