Toyo T1R Just Put On

So I put my new tires on last night and all I can say is WOW!!! Grip Grip and more Grip. I did a few laps of the clover connecting the two freeways here in Edmonton and I was taking the corners at speed. Steering response is quick and I didn't notice any problems with the sidewall of the tire giving in. I could have pushed the car harder but there is still tones of gravel on the road and I didn't feel like writing the car off. I'll let you know how they really handle in the twisties as soon as the roads are clean.

In a strait line these tires outperform the stockers by a mile. Now I don't have any time sheets to back this up, but I noticed a significant increase in grip when launching the car. I launched the car a few times from 2200ish RPM and the tires hooked up quicker then the Pirellis and I could just feel them gripping the road. I think they'll only get better after I get more kms (only put on 30km) on them and the releasing agent is off.

Here are a few pics from my phone. Sorry I don't have a digi cam right now.

I had a set of those on a previous car. Grip grip and more grip is right.

Too bad they don't last for ****. Great tire while they have tread. :\

I love my T1R's as well. They seem to be lasting longer than my Pirelli's held up as well. I still have plenty of wear left on them and I've beat the **** out of them in the corners, dragway, and regular daily driving. The warmer it is outside, the stickier they get too! They are tread water way better than the Pirrelli's could even imagine to which is a huge factor where I'm at because of the rainstorms that come in.
