I ordered the header with a bung for WB so it was installed by ZZP.

its close no doubt, but some widebands (I use PLX and it works as you can see) have a redonkulously long sensor. What wideband do you have? The Innovate has a very long sensor , for example and its a crash fit with a Vibrant header...

Curious Eric, why is it (and its common on the forums) that folks post on a forum before they ask the vendor for help and/or assistance? Sure Tim is here, and u need a photo as well to show it.

But for real, I sure appreciate that folks talk to me first with issues, no posting up on a forum. Sometimes its a question of a faulty install. And for sure it can happen that the part is not right. In which case the vendor makes it right without a wave of forum rants.

I finally got mine on after it sat in a box for almost 2 years...lol. I did this + 2.4L TB + Tune at the same time so there was a noticeable difference. I'm not sure if the length was right though, with my stock exhaust manifold and dp the cat-back didn't rattle, now it does some times. It's a little loud but that probably because I have a megan racing catback :puke smiley face.

Ya it could be, the Megan really is a pos...I have experience with that Megan stuff. Check your install, and make sure the relationship of the axle over at the join to the main pipe is correct, the Megan iirc has a bolted flange but its got to be held in position and the car needs to be on its wheel at rideheight. Also as the downpipe has a v band, it is possible that the whole cat back and downpipe assembly can be rotated a small amount to make sure it is good. And one more thing just occured to me; measure the downpipe length v band to two bolt cat back flange and talk to Tim@zzp with the measurement so he can verify it for you, that is my advice.

Innovative MS.

I am going to remove the WB and post a pic of where the DP sits in the tunnel when installed to just the header.

Ball Peen hammer is the answer, just beat the floor were it needs to move, or cut some of the exhaust shield n put heat tape under ur carpet inside the car so it dont melt

I'm going to go ahead and change the fixture to rotate the sensor location down a bit so we don't have any more of these problems. I like to have some angle on the sensor so any condensation runs off but it looks like there are too many variables from car to car for as much angle as I put in there.

Tim I suspect the heat is good there, so cant see condensation would be a problem
Eric could have put it in the rear post cat sensor location while u worked out a fix. if you look at my picture in post #252 you can see how much it needs to rotate. I can give you a measurement ifyou want tomorrow I am removing cat back system from my car for a cat back re work...

It would only be a problem if the car was driven on really short trips a lot.

Do I need to make the sensor parallel to the ground?

maybe angle it towards the ground just slightly to still get run-off if condensation would be and issue, no moisture would run towards the piping, and the wires are pretty well sealed in the o2's, maybe a 5-10 degree vangle towards the ground so lowered cars would still maintain enough clearance if they were to bottom out on sportlines or drive in snow for those of us in Michigan weather lol

Tim I think parallel or slight below like bobyjohn suggested; Parallel would certainly work for me as the tunnel widens, but for Eric with those horrible innovate sensors that are sooo long, well angled down slightly would help him.

I would buy a new down pipe I am thinking if you did that, just to make it purrfect....o wait, i can fix it myself lol....I hate extra holes though...and the whole thing looks brand new under there, at least 25k miles on it this past summer but no no no winter use...I am totally insane for my Redline for sure.

The price is the same, I just changed how we do the wideband bungs on the catted pipes. there are no pipes with the old bung location in stock. All future pipes have the revised bung spot.
