Bad boost spiking

I noticed today that im getting really bad boost spiking at 5500 rpms.

Its about 48 degrees out.

Ill hold 14 psi all the way to 5500 then it will spike to like 16-18 psi til about 6000

I never noticed this before, maybe im just not paying attention to my boost gauge when my rpms are that high

Mine occasionally does the same thing. I wouldn't worry about it.

If it's stock, you don't have any issues. Losing boost would be an issue.

There is quite a bit of torque management in 1st gear stock, that will limit your boost compared to the other gears.

stock tune will fluctuate boost. what is hard to understand about this? its been beaten time and time again. colder air on stock tune = less boost and vice3 versa. different when tuned though
