We aren't directing our posts towards John. They are meant for the others that talk a big game about what they will do, yet rarely produce.

John is a customer who has big plans for his car and no way to know the best path to get there. I was once there, myself, so I can't blame him if there are mistakes made along the way.

We can do that, and obviously nowhere near 100k.

I'm not far behind you as I've already got all the same mods as you (except turbo, I've got the 3076 not the s20g), and I've got internals waiting to go in as well. Only thing I don't have right now for upgrades that I need is gears (the Quaife 6spd). Other than that, got everything else. Good luck with the build regardless, hope it turns out better than the Hahn build does.

^^ZZP, if you make a AWD kit for this car, I will sell my soul and body to anyone and everyone to get it. I couldn't imagine how bad ass an AWD turbo SS cobalt would be!

Thats cool, I respect you guys, and honestly, have sent alot of business your way. I like how you guys do stuff, for the most part, and I know you guys know your ****. Just wanted you to know that, and that in the end, I will still respect the **** outta you guys. You are innovators, for certain.. and we all know a lil competition isn't a bad thing

AWD is actually doable in these cars, failry 'easily'.

Only question though. What tranny and diff/axle would you use? I'd definately want a 6spd AWD.

IDK, I would have to look into it alot further, all I know is that there are transfer cases out that would work. We could snag some Saab parts for sure.

Yeah, you could just run an AWD Saab F40 trans, or the 6MTT450 trans can be configured for AWD and it's stronger. The Saab setup would most likely be the easier route.

Not to knock it but I don't think anyone would be willing to pay the price it would cost......trans, transfer case, irs in the rear and all the bells and whistles. I would be kool though

bbg, your youtube videos are funny, car looks great the way it is, but the setup you listed sounds pretty good too, minus the FWD.

are you selling your hahn stuff? I would be interested in your dp

The more I think about it, the better it sounds. It would be a nice way to finish off Ryan's build.

Hmmmm... if only money grew on trees...

Also, would the F40 from a G6 work (In FWD)? I am thinking F40, numbers being how much torque it is rated to, correct? That means it would hold more than the F35, plus its a 6 speed... much cheaper than the quaife 6 speed...

now its race to see who gets awd done first!!!

Man if i could get AWD for like say 5-7 grand, i would do that. When all is factored in

MSRP 25k
Bolt Ons before you go crazy 2k
Awd conversion - 6k
total 33k

New Evo-40k
new Sti-40k

haha am i missing something (besides being maybe real low on the awd conversion!)

With AWD you could go crazy easily. Imagine the ZZP kit putting down 500 whp to 4 wheels
They would be the first cobalt in the 9s haha
I wouldn't mind having $35k in my cobalt after everything

I know thats what im saying that would sick, and youd still have to pay more just to buy a stock sti/evo. And as good as those cars look they are still 4 doors *not really an issue for me but i like coupes* and the cobalt already runs laps around them on tracks!
