Sho nuff!! Can't wait to get this beast going.

John, I am stopping in at werks Wednesday to run a bunch of things past Dave, so I am sure I will have an update for you about then. The main things I am gonna pass by him are the trans and the rockers, and see what we can do about that. Do you have any idea how long your car can be at the shop?? Not worried about anything but the trans... that may take a while.

Nice, also look into adjusters too.. lifters, whatever.. For the trans, absolutely anything. 5 or 6 speed it don't matter just as long as it's setup to keep a nice powerband goin brought every gear. Axles.. Big must... And once I bring the car to ya, it's
yours until it's 100% ready. I will have another car to drive so yea.

Sweet **** bro! The tranny is gonna be the bitch. the easy way out would be to take it apart, and cryo treat it, while we develop the billet gear set. It adds 18% more strength, and if you aren't an ******* to your car TOO MUCH, then it should hold up as a temp fix. I honestly have no clue on an ETA for the development of it, but if i had to guess, it would be more than 6 months to get it all ready to rock.

The rockers and lifters shouldnt be too bad. We can ship them out to our machine shop and have them CAD it up, then cut it out of Ti or tool steel. Probably tool steel, because Ti would not only be expensive, but extremely hard to cut.

Axles are done already. We'll get with DSS and get you some pimp status 600hp axles. I have the 400hp axles, and love em.

Glad to see you pushing things for the platform BBG! We have been needing someone with the cash to spend to step up and be the first to do these things. I'm excited to see where this build goes! You have no choice but to make it home safe because you are going to have a bad ass car waiting on you!

Put in some good valvesprings and you will be fine with the stock lash adjusters and rockers.

Your stock axles should be fine. I know Matt broke one, but it was an exception. LNF axles look like they belong in a 3/4 ton truck. They are thicker than the axles I run in my 8 second drag car running 1.3 sixty foots.

Spend your money on a good turbo setup, fuel system, intercooling, and tuning. If you start putting in a bunch of unnecessary custom parts, you will end up spending a fortune and the car will never be right.

I have to disagree with the stock rockers and adjusters.. This is the second time I have almost dropped a valve due to these weak lil bastards. yes lol It happened again, this time it was my fault. broken rocker arm, bent or broken lash adjuster cuz it sounds jus like it did before. Sounds like an STI... But damn it still drove great did it in the process of smoking a camaro ss. yea lol I held 2nd gear way too long but **** haha even with a fucked up valve I still beat his punkass. no vid. and it obviously made it back to Illinois just fine cuz my dad drove it home to put it in storage. broken but reliable, said it still got 39mpg goin 75 the whole way home.

And if anybody wants to add me on facebook to stay in touch while I'm gone, jus search " John gardner " and mine is a pic of me all hoodlum'd up with a case of beer and yes, the aviator shades.. Add me and I will accept it

Where did you come up with that? We run our tunes richer than most LNF tuners. The 530whp pull was at 12.5:1, which is rich for DI, especially on race gas. That was also SAE. With std correction like most LNF guys post, we have broke 500 on pump gas, 490 on the stock head and 52mm turbo better yet.

If you are spitting out rockers at high RPM, it is happening because you don't have strong enough valvesprings. It was the exhaust side that you have issues with, correct? It is based on the direction of the cam rotation and where it pushes the rocker when the valve bounces off the seat due to the weak valvespring. With the proper valvesprings in place, the lash adjusters and rockers are fine well past 8000 RPM.
