Gm won't catch the tri tune bud, I've been in for warrenty work and others who have the tune and they didn't have any issues, one even blew his intercooler(the old style one before the upgraded one came out) and didn't have any issuess, you should talk to the dealer and have them replace it if you have the old one cuz it will pop, happened to a guy who had an 09 only 21psi which is what the gm tune is set at I would definatly ask them about it.

Yep they made an upgraded from the old one ask a dealer or call gm, they made the end tanks stronger better plastic, that's y u dint see any 2010 balts blowing the stock IC, well any that I know off at least

its tru bud I would ask the dealer where ur goin if u have the old one or not, not that it matters if ur still under warrenty thay will replace it, jus lost time on ur part, the guy I tunned only has 2500 miles on his 09 too

Where is the 2nd TMAP sensor located? On the intercooler or on the intercool pipe? Ill be installing the sensors in a littler over an hour. Just wana get an idea of where it is before I start.

I've her the 2nd sensor is a biatch to get too also,true?

Nope,looked at the sensors the day I got it. That's it. Was just trying to get all my questions out of the way.

Is it a biatch to get at? I think I've read a thread about it being a PITA

Sensors are in. It wasn't too bad,only took about a half hour.

Just sitting down at the movie theatre at the dealership. Now I get to play the waiting game

GMS1 installed!

frickin love it!! too bad that its been a rainy day here today but tomorrow and the rest of the week is suppose to be sunny and warm!

im going to install the K&N SRI and maybe my DP this weekend

lol yea man. its my first boosted car so it put a **** eatin grin on my face.

ive driven 450WHP evos and 350WHP cobalts but for my car its perfect!


ive been keeping an eye on your thread of your install man. i bet youll be cheesin' from ear to ear lol

GMS1 is nice. When I had mine installed I had to pull the positive terminal to reset the computer for it to take. It was kinda weird. Much better pull then stock. I can't wait for my custom tune Im going to be working up in a month or so. I hear that it makes GMS1 almost seem like limp mode.

well a custom tune is alway better than a GMS1 anyday of the week. but i need to keep my warranty so i went the GMS1 route. my buddy sold his Cobalt SS/TC and demodded it so i couldnt pass up on the mods. i bought the K&N SRI back in december and then planned on going custom tune but thought it through long and hard and chose to go GMS1.

right now as my car sits i only have a Cat-back Hahn system on right now. tomorrow im going to put on my K&N SRI and maybe next week ill put the DP and upper IC pipe on.

ive read on here that disconnecting the battery helps when you add mods to GMS1.

Ive had the K&N on since about two months after buying the car. When you finally get to hear your turbo, its awesome. I was giggling like a school girl for the next 30 miles. Still makes me smile when someone new gets in the car.

I didn't plan on sitting at the dealership for 3 hours yesterday but today im going to put it on when I get home from work!
