Keeping it Perfect
I always park far far away from ppl when I can. I have some stone chips in the hood and bumper, and on the drivers side mirror cover.
Couple weekends ago though I was going to be able to quick polish it, hit half the hood with a finishing polish (figured that would be enough), wrong. Still have to get out the serious stuff and correct the paint, I'm pretty sure the previous owner like the automatic full of touchyness car washes. Side note about correcting GM clear, the clear they use is freaking ridiculously strong, takes some serious work with a rotary polisher or a forced dual action like the flex 3401.
Pay to couple grand and get it fixed, and re-clear the entire car.

Ive been polishing with a d.a. 7424xp, orange hex logic pad and meguiars m105. Four passes in most of the haze marks are gone but it it tough to get more than that. Its a decent clear coat and its not... Easy to chip, hard to polish. I wish i knew how much clear i had to work with, or that i could spray ten coats of clear on the car lol

Do you only use the m105? Or do you step down to a less aggressive polish and then a finishing polish? Some of the swirls/scratches are most likely from the polish and not in your paint. Check out Adams Polishes (company local to me, but amazing, they might have a dealer near you or you can order online).

The 7424 is known to be one of the 'safest' d.a. Polishers so ur probly right.
Oh yeah i only start with the 105 i then step up to a white hexlogic pad and the m205 fine polish. the 105 is their more heavy cut stuff.
Id be all over adam's products but i cant brig myself to buy it for the prices they have. What polishes from them would u recommend though? Im almost out of my meguiars and still havent finished polishing my whole car haha
